i purchased through steam online store but I'm not able to bring up any characters (so far) from ME2 game.  Since it's showing me on my STEAM account that I can download ME2, and I did register with bioware very early on when I first started playing ME2, but as far as ME2 game content- I'm not getting any joy.

I have a guy named James, some guy from ME1 who apologized for not hanging with me in ME2 and joker.

Where are all the amazing characters I grew so fond of in ME2?  BTW- pretty early in the game still. Just finished retrieving some prothean data and ran into a news reporter who's tagging along.

My ME2 medals and trophys aren't displayed, I've found a few  "ship models" while searching the Normandy2 but it won't allow me to hang them up - There's a data pad on my cabin desk I cannot read - it's in red like it should be something to examine but can't align shep up to read it.  And what is the stuff in the cabin privy? it looks like stuff that should be able to manipulate but can't.  Hey - you never know when you need a razor or plunger.  Hey where's the dog?  I read in my email that there's a dog but I don't have a dog in my cabin.

I'm at the point of re-playing ME2 - but not if I can't get my game files and accomplishments to be saved on the bioware social network, nor if this ME3 DD edition doesn't work with STEAM, allowing my ME2 stuff to be inserted into ME3.

Here's where I need the help:  If the ME2 game files are gone, and I replay ME2- do I need to save them to the bioware website?  What do I need to do to keep ME2 working in ME3.  What steps do I take?

The game dialogue so far is disappointing.  It's like the shepherds voice actor had a mid-life crisis and forgot how to talk- and make his actor appealing.   But I'm sure that's been addressed already by others.

L'iara:  "I have parts to an amazing prothean device but missing a catalyst."  Shepperd:  "Oh. Good."  Admiral Hacket: " Rally the the other people in the galaxy"  Sheppherd. "sure, Ok." <Salute>  fermale human tabloid reporter- one hit and shep's on his back.   And since when do we tell folks it's ok to hit women?  Unless they draw a gun, even an out of shape shep shouldn't be hitting non-augmented human females.  Bad bioware ethical moment imo.

So I'm encountering a weird save file problem of my own (PC platform).

Started playing ME2, machine was slow, bought a new one. Copied what I had over, continued, finished the game, everyone survived. Yay!

Started a second character last year, never finished with her.

Now trying to import into ME3 and I discover I'm missing a bunch of saves; about midway through the game it cuts off. Verified I have the correct career and all that. I save a lot - several hundred saves per play through. Could the last bunch of saves have been truncated? Recycled for my new character? I can't believe I'm going to have to replay half of ME2 to get to ME3!

I read online that once you complete the game a 'master file' with your characters info is created. Is this true? Can it be used somehow (ported into ME3)?

I waited all week to play to-day and have spent hours on this now and I am beyond frustrated....
