I decided to jump back and see how many pages of this there are. I was on page 50 for these forums when i see ending complaints. Ok, I just woke up from a nap, am staring at my ME dog tags, wallet, and CE edition feeling like an idiot. I no longer believe that the game can end the way it did.

It has to be a joke. Period. It can't end like that. Even if everyone died and you have a long 10 minute cutscene for it, its better than what we got. Or something, that current ending makes no sense, Shepard must be vulnerable because she/he is near death and might be under Reaper influence. Anderson and you staring off at the Earth was beautiful and sad. I refuse that Deus Ex Machina/Fable 3 pick an ending style ending.

I'm Commander Shepard and I'm still in the fight!!!

I hope and pray that the "hallucination" theory going around is correct. That shepard is just messed up after getting hit with the beam and there is something else coming

I've come to the conclusion that it HAS to be a dream of some sort, a hallucination from being hit by an effing Reaper and surviving, let alone it being Harbinger. You fight a reaper (destroyer class though) on foot for Christ' sake!! it CAN NOT end like that. Not a long trilogy, books, etc.

I dont want to hear thats the end of Shepards story now its time for an MMO or some crap. No. Just no.

The devs have been working hard on this trilogy, I have had my ups and downs with both ME1 and 2 for different reasons, same with 3, but overally I felt 3 was amazing right up until that hallucination.

It can't be the freaking end. This is the first game I got apparel for to wear to work, hell, I even have a ME N7 PILLOW from that child's play donation for donating a crap load of money.

I dont consider myself an a-hole, I didnt go crazy on the way DA2 ended up, saying ridiculous stuff. I just shrugged it off and said there's always Mass Effect, or there will be time to make DA2 up with sequels. (I rated DA2 a 6 or 7 out of 10 by the way )

It Can't be the end. The dev team couldn't be unified on this decision. I don't believe it. SOmething is coming. Something big and free.

You know shepards ****** line about without a future we have no hope or whatever? Well the only reason we have hope right now is the hallucination theory.

i'm gonna pretend that Shepard somehow survived the synthesis ending, maybe he just got burnt a little. Right now he's on earth with jack, and he's consulting with admiral Hackett on finding the Normandy. Then from there the races of the galaxy shall advance without the help of this ancient technology, they shall find another way.

Maybe the ending is the catalyst testing shepard to see if he'll truly stop at nothing. Afterwards, he wakes up and the child activates the crucible which killls the reapers but leaves everything else intact. There we go.
