 Ok so I am playing again because I
found my own perfect ending. Just make one up and pretend that was
how it turned out. I totally stole it from Halo 3, but well, I am
not a video game writer. SPOILERS btw.
If enough war assets were acquired and
earth is saved there is a memorial where your entire surviving squad,
previous and current, is there. The more war assets, the more squad
members survive, and Anderson can survive as well. Admiral Hacket
gives a nice speech, blah blah blah, and there is a picture of
Shepard on the memorial indicating he did not make it. If you were
male shepard and you stayed loyal to Liara or Ashly through all three
games they are prego at the memorial. Idk how Shepard would knock up
Tali, but if he can then shes pregnant too if you stayed loyal
through the second two games. Lord knows what those kids would look
like, but whatever.

Instead of Thane there you see his
Koliat. Instead of Mordin you see Mordin's "favorite nephew"
you hear about in the second game. To make this clear Mordin's
nephew looks just like Mordin, just not with the scars and missing
horn, head thing. If red or green endings are chosen then at the end
of the memorial Miranda and Jacob, if they survive, approach Mordin's
nephew and say they have an operation they need him for. If they do
not survive then there is nothing after Hacket's speech.  It then cuts
out, credits roll, awesome music, whatever.

After the credits the three of them are
on the Citadel and to find Shepard's body. They find it, walk up to
it, and Miranda looks back at Mordin's nephew and says "Can it
be done?" Mordin's nephew does that little frown thinking look,
then smiles. Then it cuts out.

That is the ending I want and that is
the ending I will imagine when I play again.  You choices matter more than just an extra few war assets.  The loyalty to your LI gets you kids, doing loyalty missions might get you brought back.  

I may have been able to deal with the
grandpa and kid if it was not a grandpa and kid, but Garrus and his son, or Liara talking to Shepard's kid, or someone that Shepard was
close to. Not some random old man.

Even if they do not do the whole Lazerous project again I would at least like to see the Memorial, that way I get to see who made it.
