Most of us have seen Batman Begins. Well Shepard is very similar he/she is an idea, a symbol. Shepard represents the best and worst of all of us. To have him destroyed in such an utterly pointless fashion is one reason these endings cut so deep.

He should take Conrad with him there, and use him as bowling ball to blow up reapers and then jump off citadel and land on Normandy roof and fly on top of it like its giant skateboard and he should have big cigar and sunglasses like Duke Nukem, and when he puts them on he says "I guess i just kicked ReapeARSES". And rock music kicks it.
