Mature and realistic is not necessarily grim and dark and shocking...I PLAY A GAME!!! If I want sad moments I am looking news on TV, looking out the window or read newspaper, watching a film about Africa, War etc. etc. etc.

if you want to talk about realism lets go.

Do you know how much damage that the destruction of the relays and citadel would do to Earth? Earth is already in a bad state and will require aid and supplies from other planet which can no longer happen because no more mass relays. Somehow your crew crashlanded on some planet after getting their ship torn in the middle of FTL.

Also, I don't know if you paid attention in high school english but there are rules when it comes to developing a story. Mass Effect ending with star child was so out of place and sudden it almost made no sense.

I would have prefered LOSING, the cycle continues (without knowing why, because the reason they gave is HORRIBLE), but adding a ton of tips/clues/help for the next generation to stop them.

Even something that awful is 5000 times better than what we got. At least it makes sense.
