DA2 was worse by far. Going from the Warden to Hawke was like going from Sheppard to Conrad Verner.

ME3
At least I wasn't turned off from playing DA2 after their ending. I could even accept DA2's ending in some fashion but ME3? No way it just ruined too much of the franchise

ME3's ending destroyed the entire franchise. By comparison, DA2 had a brilliant ending.

How about any ending that gives hope of continuity to it's respective universe as it's currently known is better than Mass Effect 3's.
The Developers shouldn't have stated ME3 was the "end of shepard's story" and should have just said the "end of the Mass Effect Franchise overall."

Both weren't very good.
I think ME3 was the (much) better game overall but ME3's ending was so random and weird that I can't really claim it to be better than DA2.

ME3 is far worse, imo.
I actually liked DA2 quite a bit. Nowhere near perfect, but I enjoyed it. And I loved ME3 until that bs ending.

ME3 absolutely. What the hell was going through their heads. Someone should have said something. I've never been so bitter over a game ending before. DA2 at least had some replayability, all you had to deal with was Anders being a complete emo. At least you get the option to kill him over and over again. And truthfully I didn't think it was that bad. Disappointing yes, I wanted to be the king/queen again : (. And I wanted to see somewhere else other than that damn city, mine, and beach. Still though, ME3's ending was absolute horse shi-

The DA2 ending allows for Hawke and co. to keep on adventuring in the player's mind. THe ME3 ending is not nearly so generous. Both endings equally establish finality for the hero. While I really don't care for the way ME3 ends things so finitely, I can see why they thought it would be an artistic, edgy ending.
Blah, I still don't really like it, but they at least provide the ending I want for my Shepard, so I shouldn't complain too loudly.

I thought DA 2's ending was pretty bad. It was @#$%ing Citizen Kane by comparison to this nonsense.

DA2 any day. We knew all along that the Templar/Mage conflict was coming, and it would only take one spark to ignite it. We just didn't know who would light that spark.
So DA2 is worse?
No, DA2 better. I thought from the title that the question is which one I would choose.

DA2's ending was internally consistent, it didn't force you into genocide if you wanted to not be killed outright, and it gave you some idea of what happened afterward.

DA 2 is better.. .at least I walk out Kirkwall a complete bad ass with Templars that should be killing me and my part but instead back off.

ME3, by far.
This.
DA2 was ok i guess ^^
Still, i believe that you go unconscious when you get "hit" by the reaper and the rest is all a hallucination.
Maybe EA just pushed Bioware into making ME4, if that's the case, then the ending of ME3 is perfect. If it's not, it's Bioware's greatest fail.

My problem with the ending of DA2 came before Varric's epilogue, so I'd say it was better. We were railroaded into basically one ending, no matter what side we took, and fought the same enemies, in a a completely contrived and sloppy manner. BUT, at least at the very end, we can fill in the blanks for ourselves and believe that Hawke and the LI are living happily ever after, or sailing the seas as pirates, or freeing slaves in Tevinter...you get the idea.
I'm no longer as annoyed by ME3's ending as I was when I first saw it, but I still maintain it's emotionally manipulative and poorly executed. I understand that the main objective was to reboot the franchise, and everything else was secondary, but somewhere in there, they should have taken into account the players who became invested in their Shepards.

At least in DA2 I don't feel like I threw away money. The writers at Bioware must for some reason think that they need to make all their games have the princess bride story telling component, except at least in DA2 it took place in the same universe.
When I heard people complain about the ending I really thought it was gonna be that everything ended to happily.
I wish someone would've told me, okay, the mass relays are destroyed and it's ambiguous whether the things that happened in the game actually happened or are the tales of some grandfather in whose alive either now, in the future, past??
And the writing's been good up till then, too. Even if Shep died that would have been fine. Even if the entire Normandy squad wiped, it would be fine. How about a whole star system? Would've been fine. What if the Reapers won? Would have been fine.

Can I abstain? Both were horrible... I hope this isnt a downhill trend for Bioware..

ME3. DA2 was a "Meh," from me, but DA2 wasn't as great as ME3 is to begin with. ME3 is a beautiful game ruined by the last 10 minutes, and that's what makes the endings so truly heartbreaking.

Mass Effect 3. At least in Dragon Age II, there was still hope for Hawke and the companions.

I didn't mind the DA2 ending - you made some decisions they had weight - of course now in DA3 we will find out that we have to merge with darkspawn to create a new synthasis so that the darkspawn don't have to arrive every couple of centuries and wipe us out - cause it worked so well the first time.

I really wanted to like DA2 but it refused to let me, the plot, gameplay, graphics, just everything about it was either inconsistent, poorly thought out or lazily done. The ending, as terribly done as it was, left me some room for interpretation. You could argue that ultimately, the Templars were the "good" guys even with their **** moves.
ME3 was a far better game, there were a few QUALITY moments, sprites where sprites shouldn't be, unkillable husks climbing walls, a couple of plot holes but nothing too bad. I'd read the spoilers for the game, the endings and I'd expected terrible things, I went into it expecting to hate it and I was pleasantly surprised. The game was far better than ME2, better gameplay, stronger writing and general improvements across the board. Everything is going well, so far I'm looking at a game which is not only as good as the first one, I'm going to say better.
And then you meet the PlotChild.
And it all goes to hell.
It didn't need to be cheerful, it didn't need to be happy, what it needed was closure, the game was a tease whose flirted with you all night then left you holding the cheque, it's downright unsatisfying.
It wouldn't need much, a few "epilogues" about the surviving characters and what they went on to do. A little bit about the galaxy after the fall.
Keeping all this in mind, DA2 has a far better ending.

Dragon Age 2 brought resolution to a boring and lackluster plot.
Mass Effect 3 brought an emotional ending to a great plot, but lacked any sort of true explanation as to what really happened.
It's hard. I'd say Dragon Age 2 was better, but ME3 still had a better story overall.

DA2 had the better ending. It brought closure,sadness,and/or joy. And hey I wasn't like WTF at the ending of DA2 so that is a good start.

In DA2, you knew from the beginning that things were bad, would likely get worse, and that a lot of it would be blamed on you. The ending made good sense, thematically.
ME3's ending completely flew in the face of everything else the franchise had done.
