Did you agree to borrow her alliance resources during you third meeting at the citadel???
I think you need all three meetings with her, with the second being a warning about Kai Leng and agree to borrow her those alliance thingies she wants in the third meeting.

Those of you playing were you male shep or femshep? Just curious for those who got Miranda to survive without the romance.

As for saving Wrex yeah you can save him but Eve survived in my game so that may influence his living or dying.

Mordin can be saved, although alot of contrived crap has to happen.

No major spoilers here please, haven't beat the game. I hope not. I just hope no more dead, I did rather sacrifice Earth instead.

FYI, this is the "Spoilers Allowed" section of the forum, there is a gameplay "No Spoilers" section as well. Maybe chill there till you finish the game?
I want everyone to have the best experience playing, spoiler free...

You can save Tali and the Avatar of Legion. I was able to save Tali by preventing the Geth from getting the Reaper upgrades. The real Legion was dead in my run through of ME2 but an VI Avatar of him survived. If you choose to sacrifice the Quarians for the Geth he can survive. If you gave the Geth the reaper upgrade you can still save Tali with a Paragon QTE.

Mordin's death was really good I thought. He really wanted to undo the genophage and his last words were pretty good I recall. The explosion was a little meh and not very dramatic but it was still a good scene overall.

Only thing I hated about Mordin in this game was that his voice did not match the voice from ME2. It was a horrible facsimile and they used someone else for the voice. Didn't match at all it was just like. "Oh I'm Mordin but I had throat surgery so I sound different"... Yeah... not a fan of his new VO.

Miranda can't be saved unless you romanced her as male shepard in ME2. Says so in the game guide. She dies no matter what without the romance and continuing the romance. Sorry to those who think you can save her. Tali can be saved, Wrex can be saved... frankly just there are those scripted to die no matter what.

This is not true. I romanced Ashley then noone in ME2, and Miranda didn't die. You have to have her loyalty, warn her about Kai Leng, and give her access to Alliance resources, I think.

I do know for a fact that you do not need to romance her.

I played a female shepard and Miranda didn't die in my playthrough. Maybe you have to have her loyalty in ME2 instead? I didn't even know she CAN die.

The guide is inaccurate. I was able to save Miranda as FemShep (obviously no romance there).:kissing:

It doesn't matter. What saves Miranda is that you have to warn her about Kai Leng and when it comes to confronting her father you have you make the paragon/renegade choice. If you do paragon, Miranda would kill him herself.

If you don't warn her about Kai Leng, she dies from her wounds. If you did warn her about Kai Leng but didn't use the paragon/renegade choices, Miranda will be shot by her father and will die from her wounds.

I played as femshep and I got her to live.

There is really no point in saving anyone since their chances of surviving after the end of the game is pretty low and their quality of life is even lower.

In order to save miranda, you must warn her of kai leng in advance by going to see her several times on the citadel.

I noticed that he sounded different also, but didn't realize they changed actors. I thought maybe Michael Beattie forgot how to voice him. That explains why  there weren't any lengthy discussions with Mordin in ME3. He was one of my favorite characters in the series.

"The lizard people evolved!?!"
"I believe they are amphibian"
"...they used to eat flies.."

Hell you can even SEE the size of the explosion when viewing the entire milky way.

You also see the blast go through the Soldiers on Earth. They aren't effected, only the Reapers are. Mine hurrah'd and was happy over the outcome.

yeah it's a known fact they changed VO's for Mordin for the third installment. That's why he sounds so different.

If your squadmates don't die, your faith in BioWare will.

I disagree.  I feel there should be a way (should be veeery difficult) for all of your squadmates (minus either Ashley or Kaiden) to survive the series.

Having scripted deaths for important characters like these, I feel, is just as bad as making it impossible for any of them to die.

Needs to be best case (very difficult to acheive) and worst case scenarios.

They did the same in my game as well. I believe there is a good and bad destroy endings based on your EMS.

Considering I had roughly 7000+ EMS and 100 readiness, and achieved "perfect ending", I'm fairly sure that's the canon one. But as far as I can tell, the one where he is grasping for air, is only the "Destroy" one, no? That's the one I got.

good destroy is the one where shepard survives. 5100 points, anderson is saved from TIM and then you can choose the destroy where everyone on the planet lives and shepard survives. any other destroy ending and the earth is pretty much screwed. just different levels of screwed depending on your EMS and overall galactic readiness level.

movieguy getting 5100 EMS and 100% galaxy readiness or pretty damned close should have given us the optimal ending where Shepard ends up with LI and stuff, we didn't even get that.

The only deaths that are completely unavoidable are Mordin, Thane and Legion. I wasn't aware that Wrex could die, though?
