I am not sure if Wrex actually died but I saw him draw heavy fire just before you tried to run for the beam to the citadel. It seemed like the scene after the Rachni queen with Grunt that gave you the impression he died. If it was like the Grunt scene, I am sure Wrex blasted his way out alive.

That's a nasty trick with Thane.
Not talking to him before the mission he dies....
Hell, everyone is talking to him when coming to the citadel.
I'm disappointed.

Mordin and Legion that hurt big time already, unless I missed another nasty trick to keep them alive.
