We all know "Take Back Omega" DLC is likely. It raises ONE question, however.

What is the point? We take Omega back from Cerberus... then we all die 5 hours after the fact.

So we can feel even worse about the ending, that is the point.

More to the point, Omega has not one but two mass relays in relatively close proximity. Kaboom.

And whats funny is that Omega is DOUBLE SCREWED because the system has TWO mass relays in it.

When first relay explodes:

Aria - "Don't F with Aria"

When second relay explodes:

Aria - "Ok I'm F'ed."

Pretty much the whole problem of pre-catalyst DLCs. There is no point in buying/playing them.

Well I what don't understand is that, with Cerberus getting torn to **** at the end, there's no need to take it back. All it would do is give people an excuse to play Aria before continuing on and finishing the game the exact same way.

At least it goes to show you that Bioware isn't doing DLC's for money this time around since no one's buying pre-catalyst ones.

That's why they needed to get From Ashes out at launch.

Here's an idea: Omega contains a Prothean device, that, when added to the Crucible, stops the relays and geth from having to be destroyed.

I'd buy that DLC.

imo i dont think there will be a Omega retake DLC why? well aria says after the reapers have been dealt with she is going to take it back from the illusive man. Well before you go and deal with the reapers you have to go to a cerberus base where the illusive man calls it his home and take cerberus out of the war once and for all. AND you kill the illusive man, or he kills himself. So taking back omega from cerberus even though they are finished doesn't just doesn't sound right.

Even if the mass relay exploding didn't take it out, yeah Omega is going to be destroyed since all technology is essentially made useless. It's like a big EMP or something.

Have fun living on omega with non-functioning air locks and no air processing.

Another thread brought up why giving us a better ending, as in something that actually accounts for what we've done, is crucial if they hope to sell DLC. To a certain extent, they can still get sales because people will want to see what happens, but the ending really do make you wonder, "Why should I care?" For war assets? Given how such a large percentage absolutely hate the endings, and how many of them would be right back on board if the endings changed, I'd say it actually makes financial sense to fix them.

While I am a believer that the journey matters more than the destination if fiction, I also believe that the destination should account for the journey.

Omega would be a cool storyline but it would be hard to justify purchasing it. "hey help aria get Omega back so when you finish the game she can get stranded on it and starve to death since there will be no relay to escape the garden worldless system and therefore no food". That sounds fantastic.

Does anyone actually want to play DLC after that ending.... (or any mass effect for that matter).

Jumped the shark.

Wouldn't those 2 explosions inevitably cause asteroids to crash into the station and destroy it?

Why does everybody have to completely misinterpret the ending? Nobody said all tech was destroyed, or that the mass effect is gone, or even that the relays explode, necessarily. So Omega's probably fine. They spend all their time murdering each other anyway, they probably won't even care about not being able to go other places.

Still, I don't get how they expect to do DLC for this thing. If we can't play after the game, well, what's the point? Other than telling us Aria got to live (as opposed to dying on the Citadel with everybody else), it's just... kinda hopeless.

What's the one question? Who'd be stupid enough to buy it? That's the only question that comes to mind for me.

Why bother with it? We know everything that will happen there is utterly pointless in the end. Everyone on omega dies horribly without space trade.

You see the relays explode.

What's the point to a Omega DLC ? I'm not going to buy it if at the end none of this matter.
