We all know "Take Back Omega" DLC is likely. It raises ONE question, however.

I swear sometimes people just irritate me, they do not EXPLODE, they release the mass effect field in an overload to enhance the distance to cover enough area of the galaxy to work.

There are different types of energy released, though i wont go into it.

KotOR 2 at least had the excuse of being gutted by the publisher.
The Restoration Project is quite a different game, and had the game matched up to what the writers planned it would've been legendary.

ME3 on the other hand is entirely the victim of bad writing for the final segment. What a horrible way to end my beloved trilogy.

That same overload destroys the structural integrity, if it exploded, there would be nothing left.

And yet again they break apart, and when they do that, that energy is going to be released. The end.

Why the hell would we bother taking back Omega? Cerberus gets effectively wiped out anyway as of the current ending, and Aria has already pledged her fleet to your cause regardless. It would be completely pointless.

the energy was used to send the energy (or whatever came out of the crucible) to the other mass relays

Um, and you know this how?  The only information given in the game is that when a mass relay goes boom that solar system is destroyed.  And isn't overloading....exploding???  An overload of the magnitude that is shown/implied would cause as least as much catastrophic damage to a mass relay (if not exponitially more) as a metor striking it.

Show me the Beef......er, I mean the Proof :)

'Take Back Omega' sounds like it will be a multiplayer DLC. If it were single player DLC...I can't imagine who it would be you would play as. Wouldn't be Shepard that's for sure. Play as Aria?

Agreed on all points.

Wait, Aria was on the Citadel. And everyone on the Citadel got processed when the Reapers stole it, so didn't Aria die way before the ending anyways?

The Omega DLC would be full of the same plot craters that the ME3 ending presented to us.

And any DLC pre-destruction would be pointless because Shepard is dead and rest of the crew is either stranded or dead. Any DLC post-destruction would have to have a surviving Shepard and explanation of what happened to the Normandy crew  or it's again pointless. Even a multi-player DLC has no interest for me at all because the ME universe died when Shepard was buried in rubble.

So if Bioware wanted to permantely close the ME universe like a bad date then they did a great job.

There's no point in doing anything - outcome will be the same. I can't play a game like that where I now that no matter how hard I try, the end is still going to depress me again....

So DLC = FIX THE ENDING YOU BIG STUPID JELLYFISHES

not sure why people are moaning about mass effect dlc!!! if you looked at every bit of dlc from mission's to weopen's etc. it's all been at the highest quality even people who weren't keen on mass effect got into the francise because of the quality etc. :)

yes, but it still doesn't matter. wow, you now have a better weapon or different look to kill some husks? congrats, won't change anything about the outcome though. i think that's the problem people are having with future dlcs.
why even take back omega when it's not gonna matter anyway?

i won't buy it either. but see, that's where torrents come in.

What is the point? We take Omega back from Cerberus... then we all die 5 hours after the fact.

We get more war assets, which are pointless and add nothing to the game. And probably a new gun.
And then the ending comes.

I see no point to take back Omega as it will be destroyed at the end. Pointless.

More to the point, Omega has not one but two mass relays in relatively close proximity. Kaboom.

QuarianHIV wrote...

And whats funny is that Omega is
DOUBLE SCREWED because the system has TWO mass relays in it.

When
first relay explodes:

Aria - "Don't F with Aria"

When
second relay explodes:

Aria - "Ok I'm F'ed."

*can't stop laughing*

With the endings as they are, I will not be purchasing ANY dlc whatsoever for ME3. What's the point? That's what many people have said, and what I'm echoing again. Anything you add to the game before the ending is just pointless, and would be too hard to play through. I don't care how good the DLC might be - if it's all for nothing, then what's the damn point? I don't even think I can play through the rest of the game again for a long time, much less muster the interest to see whatever pointless action you'd have to do in a DLC when it doesn't matter in the end.

The Relays don't blow up the same way as the one in Arrival. Otherwise Earth would have been toast. All the systems are fine, apart from being raided by Reapers.

Nothing implies that aside from some stargazer crack-powered nonsense at the end. You see giganting shockwaves spreading from blowing up relays.

The 'shockwave' being the crucible effect, not a supernova. Seriously: you get to see the relay explosion cover Earth, and it doesn't destroy it.
