...but who other then me thought the sound track was amazing?
If there's one thing that has not failed with the three games is the music. I tip my hat to all who was involved in it.

Oh it was definitely amazing, as was most of the game itself. I just loved the mixture of old favorites, mixed in with new tracks.

I still thought Jack Wall's direction was better. But now that Clint Mansell's name is attached to the music, it will likely win some VG awards. Not saying the new track is bad, but for me it's not as good as ME2.

clint mansell is seriously one of the best composers of our day (and from what i understand he hasn't been doing it that long). he and philip glass and ludovico einaudi are so good at pulling emotion out of 'simple' arrangements it's almost impossible not to get lost in their rhythm.
tl;dr yes. it was epic.

Too much violins and piano for my taste. But some pieces were excellent. For some reason I really like the music that plays when you have to take the Quarian vs. Geth decision on Rannoch.

jack's music was probably better for this particular genre in general, but i'm guessing they went with a meloncholy feel because of the nature of the game, and honestly, even if you're not a fan of the endings, the music is more than fitting.
