So, I've only played the synthesis ending, but from what I'm seeing, Joker could make a good cannon for another ME game/book. Meh. Maybe not so much with the game part, but what I'm really asking is:
With the possible outcomes; Would another Mass Effect game be viable?
Mass Effect 4: Joker *Spoilers*

So you play a guy on a deserted island jungle planet with no technology to speak of.... except this weird smoke monster...

Sure:
50.000 years ago brave someone stopped something. So now we all can live in peace and prosper.
OR AINT WE?
MASS EFFECT 4
Take back the Shu'tuh, homeworld of Hut-nuns

Yeah threads can get buried quick. Really after the ending of ME3 I doubt the next game (if there is one) is even set in a time period where Joker is alive. If ME4 does come about with the current endings in tact expect the setting to be like 10,000 years in the future. As someone else put BioWare hit the Galactic Do Over button.

Yeah, sure.
Call it "Mass Effect: Lord of the Flies." It will surely be a gripping tale about the Hu--- Cyborg Condition.

Interesting ideas
I guess they wouldn't carry on with Joker, though I wonder if he comes out without Vrolik syndrome in the synthetic ending.
Hm. On a different note, I wasn't terribly upset by the ending. Bioware said that this would be Shepard's last Mass Effect.

Will the game let you plan Liara's birth schedule? She's got an entire crew just so eager to bang her.
In the name of survival and repopulation of course.

Damn you QuarianHIV! I really liked Liara, she seemed like one of the most genuinly sweet love interests. That and the whole though of "She saved herself for me for 2 games before this one!"QuarianHIV wrote...

Since I don't have a playthrough saved from ME1 with her as LI, and I never got the Shadow Broker DLC for ME2.

No. I mean, we all got Joker alive...but that's it. My final three characters were Joker, Ashley, and the Prothean. Which means any canon Joker story would have to have those three characters for me...yet, probably half the players killed Ashley on Virmire, and maybe fewer than half even bought the Prothean DLC. So even if the story was perfectly canon for me, 2/3 of the main characters would be back from the dead for other readers. Can't be done.
