Professional Reviews: 92/100
User reviews: 3.2/10

I bought Dragon Age 2 based on how much I enjoyed the previous game, its DLCs, and strong reviews. After the disappointment of that game, I lost faith in 'professional' game reviews.

I'm looking forward to this game, but based on the above scores it looks like there's a real danger of repeating disappointment, inflated reviews, and cut corners. Is this the case with ME3?

Most people liked the game. Most people didn't like the ending.

Download the demo, and make up your own mind.

I believe ME3 is (at least in its current state) closer to DA2 than Origins... but opinions differ

Its a shooter. Not much of RPG anymore. A big part of dialogues are animations. These dialogues that you have affect not much and feel like not much of a difference. Game in general is very different from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. I'd say professional reviews exaggerated it a lot. The rest is up to you.

This.

Most people find the game amazing up until the end.

I'd say about 95% think the game is amazing up till that point. Hardly another DA2.

Lol you rely on metacritic? The lowest professional review was an 8. Check out DA2s lowest professional review. Metacritic gave ME3 zeros 5 minutes after release. Real reliable.

That's really disappointing. From interviews, it was claimed that since there were no more sequels after this game, Bioware didn't have to worry about forcing things to a set conclusion and would be focusing on opening up divergent paths. I take it that didn't prove true.

General BSN consensus is that the game was great, but the endings ruined it.

I think it's a great game but (and I want to hit myself for sounding like a broken record) the ending is strange. Though I did like DA2 so you might consider my opinion invalid.

Play the game, but when you get to the end just turn it off when you see a beam of light.

If by "another DA2" you mean "another game subjected to waves of trolling reviews."..... yep.

The writing in ME3 is WAY better than the writing in DA2....until the last 10 minutes of ME3 which makes you wish you never played any of the Mass Effect games to begin with.

Yeah, sadly if you were satisfied with DA2, I think our opinions on this game won't mesh well. =]

It's much, much better than DA2, unfortunately the ending is lacking severely and people are butthurt about that.

It plays very much like ME2 but with a far better story, better combat due to movement and better cover use. It was always a rpg/shooter hybrid and anyone who says otherwise is mistaken.

Dialogue is good, ambient dialogue is cool and fun too.

Its not perfect but no game is, but it is better than ME2 IMO as it has more of a ME1 feel to it, more rpg elements and better combat.
Ignore user reviews on metacritic as it has been bombed (DA2 deserved the low socre...ME3 doesnt). Just look at other sites user reviews to see that the troll bombers are too lazy to bomb the other user review sites.

Dragon Age II's endings next to Mass Effect 3's are like sweet fruits dipped in cream whip.

Metacritic is the only reliable source to see if the game really worth it or not. Professional reviews not worth anything anymore. It's either Metacritic or forums these days.

Yeah. ME3 is an amazing game right until the ending BS. It doesn't have any of the faults people attribute to DA2

You can't be serious. May be playing ME1 and ME2 would help you.

lol. You don't need review in the first place. I sure don't check them and still buy **** load of game. Most of them are okay to great. You don't need that much to guess which game will be alright and not a ****storm. Mainly you don't buy anything from SEGA except if you like getting punch in the face.

I can say I prefer ME3 a long shot before ME1 and 2 even if the ending could have been done way better.

I was at first pretty skeptical about the game after seeing the low metacritic scores, and DA2 disappointed me greatly so I was expecting the worst. I'm a little ways through the ME3 campaign played a bit of multiplayer, and I must say that I'm actually liking the game quite a bit. Some of the events and missions have moved me more than anything I've experienced in both ME1, ME2, and heck, other Bioware titles. You will be relieved to know that it is not DA2.

I hear the endings are a bitter disappointment, and for some people, I suppose that makes or breaks the game. Going to keep myself from having too much expectations, but so far, the game has really impressed me. The only thing I don't like about it is that it uses Origin, but meh.

WOW! A whopping -532 out of 788 reviews!? But when you compare DA2, as a much more successful game because it was only -460 out of 858 totaled..Either way, that's a crappy gauge of success nonetheless..

Yeah, I agree that user reviews are much more honest in comparison..I thought ME3 wouldn't hold up well against ME1-2 but GEEZE, that is just depressing...:pinched:

~Edited to note: That Skyrim scored an 8.1 in the user score..:P BioWare take note, you might want to switch publishers in the future...
