So basically I cheated on Liara with Traynor assuming that this would result in me being forced into a choice between the two later in game, however I got the paramour achivement and have also only had the option to describe myself and Liara as friends. Does this mean a single instance of cheating in mass effect 3 closes off the option to get back together with your former LI?

Yeah. I had the same thing happen and it pretty much locked me out of the Liara romance afterwards. I think it's save to say if you romance Traynor or Cortez when you have another LI that it defaults the former LI to just a friend.

Well I can live with that, its what new game plus is for right? Still seems a bit odd that a relationship spanning 3 games ends based on a fling with a girl I only talked to three or four times...hell I wouldn't have done it if Liara hadn't been so cold.
