Cant wait for him to explain how his team agree with his stuff.

Because he's the lead writer ? What a joke.

Lead Writer Mass Effect series - Story guy with Dark Horse Comics.
I write and I create. I travel regularly, eat well and enjoy life.
And now I twitter.
Mac Walters[/b]

@macwalterslives

Yeah! Back on the plane. Many margaritas later. We are late... But delightfully oblivious. #NotDrunk yfrog.com/ocvewgmj

This man seem to enjoy travel and margaritas more than provide a good work to the people who paid for it.
Too bad. It was today by the way.

Funny stuff from him about the ending(s) :

ITW : You’ve established that this is the end of Shepard’s story. How difficult is it crafting an ending to a big saga like this?

Mac Walters : The trick is, because it’s a BioWare game, there will be more than one
ending. Which means there’s more than one ending to Shepard’s story.
It’s not a matter of saying, “Here’s an optimal ending.” There’s gonna
be different options, different endings.
One of the key things I wanted to do is add a sense of humanity to
Shepard. The option is there — if people want it — to let Shepard
explore how they feel about all the crap that they’ve been through. How
would Shepard — the generic Shepard, right down the middle – respond to
being relieved of duty? They’ve been trying to alert the entire galactic
community to the fact that there’s Reapers out there. They’ve literally
died and been brought back. There’s a sense that Shepard is getting a
bit tired of it all. Without it becoming complaining or whining, I
wanted to get a sense of that tired soldier who’s been there and done
it.

Me: How are you guys feeling right before launch? Are you afraid some fans may not like how it ends?

Walters: It’s equal parts anticipation and anxiousness. You want it to be a satisfying conclusion to everything you put out there. We’re the biggest fans of the content we created. Everyone has their vision of how this is going to end. But in the end, it’s not just about us telling a story, it’s about the entire team working together to create something bigger than any one component. I talked with someone about the ending it’s not the same as showing the ending. It’s about the whole product. When I look at Mass Effect 3, I’m amazed at the contribution for the entire team.

We might hate the endings but don't discount the rest of the game's writing which was for the most part amazing.

I remember seeing somewhere about how the Stargazer's background image was actually a modified stock photo, as was Tali's face.

Was cutting corners really necessary even at the end?

My god, what a bad writer he must be...

Not only are the ending basically all the same, but they are also insulting. A god kid? Seriously?

Merging synthetic life and organic life? Seriously? What is that Final Fantasy?

What kind of mystical crap is that!

Guys. I'm going to say this preemptively. I know its tempting, but don't threaten him, don't call him names and ask for him to be fired or humiliated. We're better than that. Sending him a mature letter listing your grievances is ok. Don't do anything that will reflect badly upon the fans as a whole.

Well, to be honest, I thought the ending was amazing up until you have to make your very last decision.

That part with Anderson, watching him die but too tired to do anything about it. It was heartbreaking. As were many other scenes in the game.

But yeah and then space food coloring lol.

Same any form of threat or insults only discredit our grievances.  We need to maintain a clear, mature, rational
, and logical stand point.  We must hold the line!

This is absolutely right. If we want to get a new ending via DLC, we ABSOLUTELY have to do this politely. I'm as upset as the next gamer, but we won't get anywhere with insults.

Start voting and posting in the appropriate polls and forums, I've got a few in my signature box.

The trick is, because it’s a BioWare game, there will be more than one

It’s not a matter of saying, “Here’s an optimal ending.” There’s gonna

One of the key things I wanted to do is add a sense of humanity to
Shepard. The option is there — if people want it — to let Shepard

wanted to get a sense of that tired soldier who’s been there and done

I’m hoping that Shepard really comes across as a little bit more
three-dimensional than [the character] has in the past. Not just, “Tell
me about this. I should go.” I can actually express how I’m feeling
about the war back on Earth. Again, there’s the option to engage in
that, and an option to say how you feel about it. It’s your Shepard.
Alternatively, you can play your Shepard right down the middle. “I’m fine! Stiff upper lip. Rub some dirt on it. One more!”

I just cant believe it.

Exactly, if we want change, we will only be shooting ourselves in the foot if we start bullying and verbally insulting the devs.. Not only would it be pathetic, but its not needed, no matter what the circumstances are. You can say you dont agree with them, but dont go off calling Mac Walters a scumbag because he defienlty wont be sympathetic to our plight then.

OPEN FIRE!!!!!!!!!!

I'm mostly just having fun guys :) helps with the horrible ME3 ending... anyway, please be concise in your criticism so they can get a feel for how we feel. And don't be rude, turns people off to listening.
