ending was bad. but what Mac accomplished over the course of the rest of the game was terrific
I strongly disagree ... the endings are just the straw that is breaking the camel's back here. The story has problems from the minute it starts. That f*cking kid (why are is the player invested in some nameless civilian ?), Anderson not being on the council (withouth explanation), The complete lack of back story on Dr. Eva on mars (until the end of the game & that's just if you stop to smell the roses). The entire story for this game is fragmented & worst of all ... it assumes you read all the comics, & tie-in novels. And then it tries to merge that cluster f*ck of contradiction into a game called Mass Effect 3.
Yeah, the kid...yeah why care about him...he just represents all the billions of nameless in the ME universe that the reapers are killing. I guess thats too abstract for you. You only care for the people you interact with and disregard the entire plot of the game since ME1...save the GALAXY from the reapers. Not your LI..Not your buddies. Thats not what ME was ever about.
Anderson and the council..You must just skip past voice scenes because Anderson himself stated why he quit. Try paying attention when playing.
Eva on mars seemed pretty fleshed out. She was a cerberus plant. What more needs said there. Sure there was a tidbit about her at the end. Big deal. I knew since mars she was a cerberus op, she needed her butt capped off. Nuff said.
