So Mac Walters is the ending's writer ?

And want Bioware to fix this after that.

Guys Mac has been writing Mass Effect since the beginning so you DO like his writing cause you liked ME1, ME2, and before the ending ME3. Remember there were leaks that there was an ultimate happy ending that got cut? He probably wrote that ending. I'm thinking everything they created got slimmed down and cut cause they ran out of time or money. Remember the problem here is the lack of exposition. The endings wouldn't have seemed that bad if we had been told who lived and who died, what the situation was for the crew and galaxy. It was probably written just never implemented.
No dude.
Marguerita Walters willing wrote that Mass relays are blown up with almost all the military of the galaxy is on Earth.
Marguerita Walters willing wrote that we know things until the moment that Shepard fire the Crucible, but to hell to what happens after the ray finishes its work. It's everywhere in the internets that ME3 is Shepard's story ending.

Secondly... The AI/ God child logic... an explanation of it because the logic is broken. Just plan broken. Its whole standing point is locked a point of view that does not take in account the possibility that opposite happens. Its almost like a child seeing things only from its point of view... Ironically it takes the for a child... Heh go figure. Not taking to account the Synthetics may want peace with Organics and Organics accept Synthetics. As for the ending, the writing for the ending was incredible right up until Shepard made his choice; then the narrative imploded with the mass relays. The writing for the resolution is incredibly sloppy.
The final sequence of images before the credits added absolutely nothing to the narrative. I kept wondering: what motivated Shepard to pick his/her choice? What was he thinking in his defining moment? What did he hope to achieve? They could have answered this actively (through monologue -- as the ending did in Deus Ex) or retroactively (through the reactions and thoughts of the supporting cast -- as the ending did in Metal Gear Solid 4).
It was a waste of a fantastic opportunity; if they managed to nail the resolution, the ending could be as powerful as Solid Snake's farewell at the end of MGS4.

Your arguemnt is like what Shepard was given in the end by that kid. Just because it most likely won't work, does not mean it shouldn't be tried, it fits for the game and what you said.Jahannam wrote...

I want to stress the above point. Don't start shifting focus on the lead writer. Vent your frustrations/anger/confusion/etc at the scene itself. Have your reasons and stand strongly by them! If we have any hope of getting a DLC of a "good" ending, we can't turn this into a flame war against the devs. It's just going to turn into another Hepler incident, people will end up getting banned, and Bioware will discredit all of our points due to a few bad apples. Bioware has to realize that this is something that the majority fanbase shares and that we can be mature and honest about our aversion towards these "endings."Adamantium93 wrote...

Its the fact devs have tried and been flamed to no end when the overall opinion is against them. 1 man vs thousands of flaming people. Try it...Ive been a mod and 10 people on my butt is too much. I could not even fathom trying to explain it to thousands of people along with the insults ect. Its not that it " likely wont work" Its simply it wont work period.

Look man...I have 2 people arguing that the dev should post already. How do you think thats going to go if one actually does? Hes going to be repeatedly and ruthelessly attacked. Whats the point? Oh you can feel better that you got to flame on? Not a damn mystery why they are not posting and will not post.

We also saw piles of dead bodies on the Collector ship in ME2. It appears that not everyone qualifies for the various uses that the Reapers have for organic bodies.

To be fair, Mac did his job well for the most part. There are some inconsistent writing across the characters, but it was well within reasonable standards (ie. it was still good stuff). There was also some absolutely incredible narrative portions -- I felt that Liara's project was the most amazing bit of video game writing I've ever seen. It was quietly self-reflexive, immensely powerful and touching.
As for the ending, the writing for the ending was incredible right up until Shepard made his choice; then the narrative imploded with the mass relays. The writing for the resolution is incredibly sloppy.

Some sort of closure would be good. (MGS4 still gets me at the end every time. )
You're also right about how great that scene with Liara's project was. I really had to sit there and consider the options. I mean, she is flat out saying that I'm the most important person in the galaxy and future generations need to know about me, and I have to pick what they'll know. It's pretty obvious that such a project would essentialy be the start of a mythology/religion, so it wasn't to be taken lightly.
