So Mac Walters is the ending's writer ?

I think this techsingularity-organics-vs-syntethics idea seemed good on the desk.

I don't blame the writers for that. Sure, this ending their fault - but just partly. Somebody had to accept this ending at Bioware. Probably the same person who felt Deception is a good novel.

No, just missing pre-EA Bioware when they were still making the games the way they wanted.

The ending is a fail at many levels for bioware. But without the Mac Walter's idea of this ending there is no FAIL ending at all. I'm sure he's the one who choose the "organic-synthetic" ending over the "dark energy" ending. Look at his interview, this is obvious.

Well Bioware should Terminate Mac Walters as a writer, and get someone else to re-write and create a patch or free DLC to complete the story properly, instead of the cheesy 3 shades of bad ending no paragon Sheppard would even consider as an option.

My God the whole ending with the God-Child made me feel like it was in a modified re-enactment of the Hal-Bop Comet cult, all it was missing was some black Nike's, Sheppard in a white robe and some poison Koolaid.

if you want your voice heard louder got to my blog which I have a link too in my Sig , click on my ME3 review and click on the links to my polls.

1. would you Boycott Bioware if they don't fix the endings
2. do you believe Multiplayer should have no impact on the single player campaign
3. Facebook Campaign demand better endings for ME3

I don't see many complaints about the vast majority of the game. I see an avalanche of complaints about the ending.

You're right. To be fair, I greatly enjoyed all but the last 10 minutes of ME3. But those final few minutes rub off on everything else, especially in subsequent games.

I don't really like the idea of singling one person out. I'm really willing to concede that the writers thought they were giving it a good shot. And to be honest, the "concept" behind the endings is fine as a Big Idea (it's just that the ending should really be about Shepard and his friends and not a Big Idea, particularly when that Big Idea is Despair in Sci-Fi wrapping). They probably even discussed and debated it, so the whole team bears some responsibility. That debate may be reopened now.

And let's not forget how wonderfully written the rest of the game is. We want them to give the ending another try because we know they can do better, but human nature will make them either defensive or angry at their "ungrateful fans" if we take a posture of attack.

Guys. I'm going to say this preemptively. I know its tempting, but don't threaten him, don't call him names and ask for him to be fired or humiliated. We're better than that. Sending him a mature letter listing your grievances is ok. Don't do anything that will reflect badly upon the fans as a whole.

This. Very much this.

Same any form of threat or insults only discredit our grievances.  We need to maintain a clear, mature, rational
, and logical stand point.  We must hold the line!

This and agree.

I dont play to ME at all. Dont see why i should if at the end none of this matter. Its just the whole reason why i enjoy ME so long, now its gone thanks to the ending made by Mac Walters.

not to mention the threat part can lead to legal issues for those sending them

The most important is why people who paid for it thinks about the ending.

Let's not attack one dude for the end of a collaborative effort, guys. Even assuming there is one person to "blame," antagonizing them is only going to widen the gap between audience and creators, and will likely result in a lot more spite than concession.

We're all human beings here. Don't forget that.

Guys, it's possible to criticize the ending without trashing Mac. He didn't create this in a vacuum. Others read and agreed or approved this ending. No doubt, many suggestions were used to create it. Casey even said they wanted the end to spark controversy. It was a miscalculation on bioware's part, not just one writer. The rest of the game is amazing, so obviously he's not a horrible writer.
