I don't mean to offend you or anyone who "believes" in this indoctrination thing... but it sounds along the lines of something like a "Government conspiracy theory".
Outlandish, ridiculous, and impossible to prove.

If you have really reed one of the two main threads with the Indoctrination theory you would believe it more i think, just my opinion ^_^

But have you seen this post? BW give an answer and it is not the only thread where they are pointin a little bit on something.

I shall state again. I will not buy. I play for the story.
The story these DLCs will provide is irrelevant. Anything you do, any success you achieve will be meaningless.
You're doing.. what? Helping people who will die.
Taking places that will be destroyed.
Gathering info that will be lost.

All because Shepard became a coward and gave up.

You know that they're going to be releasing a continuation DLC post Shepard waking up in the good ending, and you know they're going to charge for it. Somehow, I have a tiny glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, it'll be free, but the rest of my brain is laughing at it. Pretty sure that I'm not going to buy another EA game in that event, nevermind DLC.

With the current emergent 180 characters of lip service from the Mass Effect Twitter page I stand behind this post even more strongly than I did when I wrote it.

Not one more dollar. Not one more dime.

Do not buy BioWare points for Spectre packs for multiplayer.

Do not buy DLC for this game.

Keep your discs, don't go trade them in, see if Gamble comes through on his vague promises.

But not one more dime. Its the ONLY message that they are going to understand or even care about.

I want a true ending and I will be giving no $ to any dlc until that happens.

I don't care if the retcon the ending or not. If they do, great, if they charge for it, they're some slimey bastards that should re-evaluate their lives.

My simple stance is if this is what they consider closure, I consider it closure of my wallet. Thats what I'm trying to get across. Everyone is terrifically focused on getting the endings reworked and I respect that effort immensely.

But I am simply saying, based on all empirical evidence available, BioWare has ended Mass Effect, and I won't pay a dime further for anything to do with it. Because its LITERALLY throwing money into a black hole for anything that happens "before" the final battle.

This is one of the best ways to hold the line. And I will personally do everything in my living power to help get the word out.

I agree. Why buy a DLC? It won't change the stupid, crappy ending. That is if you want to call what we got an ending. I'd call it a bad joke at best.

I too will not buy any future dlc for ME3 unless it is a new ending DLC. I know I shouldn't but I NEEEEE closure. Ugh.

As one other poster said already, I'm not buying another Bioware or EA product pre-launch anymore. I'm going to make sure I don't get burnt again, then possibly buy it. Unfortunately it would have to have stellar reviews to get the bad test of ME 3's ending out of my mouth.

As for an ending DLC if they make me pay for it, I will, but then I'll go to stage two, never touching anything Bioware or EA related for years, period. That would be just shameless, I just don't want the hundreds of hours and money I poured into this franchise to be flushed down the toilet the way it has been right now.

Until the ending is fixed, I have no motivation to buy any DLC whatsoever. What's the point of any of it with an ending like that?

I see people being angry about the endings and the idea of paying for ending DLC. I'm of mixed feelings. I'm willing to forgive this and continue to purchase their games and content, even mmos, if they fix this in any decent form as soon as they can. Would I be angry about being charged for a better ending? It would be irritating, but for the most part I would be thrilled that they listened to their fan base and even made the damn thing.

I too am getting very close to this as the days tick by since having finished the game.

I look at all the hours I spent building different Shepards in ME and ME2 and realize how much time I wasted because nothing they did really truly matters in the end of ME3. And it just makes me so bloody angry.

My wife and I are considering joining the rest of the ME fans that have unsubscribed from TOR as well. I just haven't done that already out of respect for her enjoyment of that game.

But overall, I never in a million years would have believed that ANYTHING could start making me re-consider my stance and opinion on buying Activision backed products rather than EA backed ones but Mass Effect 3 has definitely done that for me.

I'm seriously considering retconning my opinion of Bobby Kotick.....in the face of what has occurred here.

I sense a dirty low blow coming in the form of "buy multiplayer dlc and it'll influence the ending." Or "buy take back omega and get epilogue."

So, you're ****ing to get ending DLC yet on the same hand, you're ****ing about the DLC in general. I hope they don't give the lot of you a damn thing, honestly.

I'm not fighting, I'm simply stating the obvious. They ended ME3 with that ending.

What I'm just supposed to keep paying them for stuff that means nothing in a galaxy that is over with?

Theres a thing called mental continuity, as we've already seen "the end" any DLC that is "before the end" in ME3 makes absolutely zero sense.

The Suicide Mission in ME2 did not sour the approach to post completion DLC for ME2, ME3's ending not only sours that, but it sours what is otherwise an incredible game and its so pervasively poisonous that its even destroyed my enjoyment of Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 as well.

So why would I buy ANY DLC for this game? How would that make any sense at all?

Yeah, I heard rumor on an upcoming Omega DLC.

Wouldn't have any urge to buy it unless I knew the ending was getting some closure. Course the more I read about it the more I'm actually listening to the predictions of continuation on these indoctrination theories...

DLC that takes place before the end of the game but doesn't change it so drastically that it is unrecognizable in any shape or form? What would be the point?

Well Casey Hudson has responded to the contreversy about the end of ME3

This is now the only effective method of responsible, adult disagreement with their choices.

Its time to chose. Will you continue to buy ME related development? Or will you close your wallet now that its said and done?

I've closed my wallet. I will respect the fact that others may feel they can support future development, and I'm not, in any way, insulting anyone that does.

It's good that he came out with a response, it's a start. But if they don't fix the ending, any DLC they introduce is still pointless to me.

Exactly, this seems to be what they aren't understanding. They can't seem to understand that the "further adventures of Commander Shepard" in a "pre-final battle" scenario just doesn't appeal to that many people.

Yeah no DLC for me unless its an end patch. I mean what is the point of taking back omega if its just going to be a stranded space station soon anyway? I have to say this whole experience has really shaken my faith in bioware. I was a huge KOTOR advocate because hey, its bioware, if nothing else the story will be awesome right? Thinking about bailing on that game too as it has proven disappointing. Come on Diablo 3! Wait, can i say that here?

If the endings aren't fixed I PROBABLY won't buy a Bioware game anymore. They can dream about me spending any money at all at more Mass Effect stuff if the endings aren't fixed. Oh, I'm so glad I didn't buy that shirt when I bought my CE copy of ME3.
