I won't find it hard to boycott DLC, cause this game has 0 replay value. ZERO. Why would I bother with DLC for a game I wont pick up again?

and this ^

Anyway what's the point paying for pointless dlc ?

Apparently "achievements".

Nerdbadges have a powerful sway over certain types of personalities.

To be honest it would be very hard for me to not buy ME3 DLC, I love this franchise, its everything I've wanted from the gaming industry. The thing stopping me is is no pre-Final battle DLC has any depth or meaning. And all post final battle DLC is...off the table.

Some people have put forward the ideal that this was a very subtle "Torch the franchise and run" tactic. I choose to simply believe that it was a badly made decision around a writing choice that only made sense, perhaps, to Mac Walters and a small handful of people.

In the end it all comes down to the same thing. The galaxy as we knew it is destroyed. There is no hope for a future, and theres not much interest in congruent reality events either

There's no point to DLC with an ending like we have. I'll boycott whatever I can -- I was planning on getting an ME action figure or two and the bigger art book up until I hit the end of ME3. I'm not even going to be getting any future games published by EA if I can help it.

Where ever you feel like you are making your opinion heard, is where you should express it.

The Retake movement did a beautiful job of trying to constructively challenge the endings. The fact that they were handled off as fringe movement in favor of media reviews simply reinforced for me, the relations between EA, BioWare and its player base, and where the player truly stands within that relationship.

You are a dollar sign. Choose not to be one.

Agreed. Neither Bioware nor EA shall see any money from me until this ending is sorted. Cild's Play can have the money.

I already decided if they were going to release buyable DLC to "fix" or "extend" the ending, I would not buy it. Not a chance in hell. Goes without saying I won't buy any other type of DLC unless the above does not come into effect.

Wasn't meaning to insult you or anything. My wife is quite similar in this regard. So I'm familiar with the behavior. She'll spend hours just trying to get one achievement so she has "gotten it". Its a powerful compulsion. I do not disagree.

I can't see myself buying the DLC unless it takes place after the ending, filling in the massive plot holes caused by Starchild or magics him away completely. Because I doubt either of these will happen I don't see a point to any more content that won't matter in the end.

I was a big fan of the multiplayer as well. I was going to renew my gold subscription after the two day online pass ran out. After months on silver I thought I'd found an online game that was worth it because I could see myself playing through all my Shepards, gaining 100% on Galaxy at War. There is no point to that now.

I guess I'll save myself quite a bit of money at least.

Currently no money going to ea or bw and won't be going in the future either . The "fix"-dlc gotta be free or no deal.

boycott

hold the line

Bioware will not get a dime from me until this has resolved. Charging us again for an ending that should've been there all along is not "resolving".

dont think I'll be doing that, not as long as it continues to be as awesome as the game itself and all dlc so far.

I would pay for DLC that addressed the ending. (I'd be lying if I said otherwise.) But any other DLC = absolutely not.

I'm with the "not buying any DLC until the end is fixed" group. Sad, because if the end was normal I would have eaten up any DLC.

I should go now.

I'm going to buy the DLC because I want the game to be awesome. We're living in a digital age where content is constantly in flux. What is today may not be tomarrow.

Also we all know that all the ragers are gonna check out the DLC anyways, who are you fooling? :P

EA has it's fingers in every pie so it would be hard to boycott them (especially since alot of good developers are signed under the EA banner)

But perhaps I'll just buy my next EA games pre-owned so all the money goes to the store and not the corporation.

Not buying a non-ending DLC is easy compared to putting up a continued front while BW tries to wait it out. They will definately try to release a DLC before trying to think about fixing the ending, and if it bombs that would be a score for the movement.

OK That's it BioWare, Im out... goodbye forever. No more Mass Effect, no more SWTOR, not even gonna bother with DA3. Its so damn SAD that the GREATEST video game of all time ended like this. Huge disappointment...

Yet, you will still post on BSN? Not trolling, valid question. Why not take it all the way and abandon everything BioWare, including BSN?

I wasn't happy with DA2 and never bought any DLC for that. ME3 since I don't see me doing a lot play throughs like I did with ME2. I can't see buying any.

I won't be boycotting DLC exactly, but the ending made getting any DLC so pointless that the effect is essentially the same.

If I had known about the ending I would have never bought the collectors edition version of the game which included the DLC. The DLC just seems so pointless now. So what there is a Prothean and Liara doesn't is disappointed in him. It all doesn't matter we don't know what happens to them in that ridiculous ending. They could give me a DLC where the new character was my own personal designed addition to the team and it still wouldn't matter because of the ending.
