It doesn't matter if I claim to be an 'activist' by calling it a boycott, I'm not interested in any DLC until this little matter is fixed. That makes me a dissatisfied customer, not a boycotter, and that's something corporations are much more afraid of.

Well again I'm not claiming any level of activism in regards to this. The term boycott simply makes any easy to understand statement.

Plus its shorter than "You've been burned too many times by BioWare so why would you give them any more money just so you can be burned and disappointed again?"

So again, its not activism, its not a movement, its simply the most coherent and direct method from which a customer can express dissatisfaction with a product, service, or business. You take your business elsewhere.

I shall state again. I will not buy. I play for the story.
The story these DLCs will provide is irrelevant. Anything you do, any success you achieve will be meaningless.
You're doing.. what? Helping people who will die.
Taking places that will be destroyed.
Gathering info that will be lost.

All because Shepard became a coward and gave up.

I was thinking about this myself. Why bother to do another story like help Aria get Omega back when in the end it won't ammount to anything at the end.

It seems to me that the fans of ME understand it alot better than bioware. But who knows maybe if i help Aria i might get a different shade of red lol.

Just keeping up with current events.

Don't be a dollar sign. I'm back off to play games that I actually get some level of satisfaction from.

"Boycotting" will be no effort on my part. I wont buy any DLC that isn't new endings because I would have no interest in it anyway, what with the galaxy ending up ****ed into a cocked hat all the same.

Think I'll wait and see what it is first, then if it's ending related I'll probably youtube it, then if it's half decent I'll just pick it up when it's on offer on Xbox Live, DLC is always over priced anyway

And if it's not ending related...I won't be buying any DLC until they've cleared up the mess

A choice that is, of course, up to you.

I personally feel there is no Mass Effect left to play with the confusion of the ending.

There are sure to be plenty of willing dollar signs, thats just the market for you, in general.

Why would I help to take back Omega knowing that it will blow up on supernova explosion?

I'm not buying anything from Bioware and ME3 if they don't correct the mess they did with the ending.

Post Pax. Post Relevance: 100%

This is the final option you have to express your opinion. And its been the option you've always had, regardless of attempting to negotiate with a business entity which had no intentions of ever negotiating in the first place.

You can lap up your free MP DLC and free screenshot ending "clarification" DLC if that soothes your issues. But far as I'm concerned I'm not going to be patronized.

I'm done. Everyone have a great time.

Even if by some miracle BW pulls off a satisfying DLC using the current ending I'm done purchasing anything from them. I've never even downloaded the From Ashes pack (which I very much wanted) because I was withholding my money until I heard their plans concerning the ending. Now I plan on never purchasing it. Frankly, at this point the ending is hardly my primary complaint anymore. It's the absolutely disgraceful PR slinging. I will not do business with a company that seems to enjoy giving it's customers the runaround.

Will boycotting a free product really derive accurate information about how well the boycott worked?

Not giving them anymore money. If they substancially improve the situation, we'll see.

Well, if they really fix the ending with the extended cut, I will remain a customer. If not, then it's certainly bye bye Mass Effect and Bioware.

They will run metrics based on total free DLC downloads to gauge their potential demographic reach for future paid DLC for ME3.

While it sounds noble to be giving us this stuff "for free", its really serving a dual business purpose, the first is an attempt at placation, the second is as stated, if they can point at substantial number of downloads in regards to the free DLC (which there will be regardless, because its free) they can gauge their potential success with the next paid DLC to be released.

To be honest I'd say everyone should download the free stuff...cause its free, then not spend a dime when the paid DLC is posted.

Perhaps we can get some of that 85 million dollars back in bandwidth.

Overall I feel the choice is up to the player base. But the only way to be a responsible consumer and not an "entitled gamer" is to not spend money on products you have no faith in.

We don't need a movement, we don't need a social networking group. Its a singular decision that can only be made individually.

Not all DLC will be free and as I stated in the post after yours, by all means, download the free stuff if it somehow interests you.

The point of this post and the entire point of it for the last 30 days has been to call for a rejection of paid DLC.

To be honest I don't even play multiplayer because I don't want to generate user metrics for them which indicate some kind of pay to play market available in it.

So feel free to download the free stuff if you want.

I thought of doing that, you know, boycott DLC, but they are free...there's no point of boycott free stuffs, right?

I'm not boycotting the DLC. I simply have no desire to play it.

I really like the multiplayer but after that SP ending, my desire to play it has been completely nullified :(.

I'm all for boycotting anything unless and until I consider the ME3 product worthy of purchase as a consumer. I wouldn't even call that action a boycott though. I would call it civic responsibility .. I.E. a consumer should never knowingly pay for what they consider to be an inferior product at a given price.

Note: If BW makes all my wishes come true [a lot of truely divergent endings from somewhat happy to downright depressing with lots of paragon, renegade, and other differences in between] then I'll rebuy EVERYTHING for ME3 and go from there.
