hey, thanks for that "pastebin.com" link. My passion for the game has fallen flat since I don't know if BioWare will step up and give us a "good" ending without plot holes and one where our choices actually mattered like they were advertised to have suppose to. I would probably settle for the current "bad" and "neutral" endings if they at least made sense....like the Sol system's mass relay blowing up would have killed everyone no matter what.....sorry for getting started on that. That was off topic....

Have you tried the Miranda scene yet? I haven't had a chance yet and like I stated above, my heart just isn't into it right now. I am curious about fem Shep + Miranda though. I liked Miranda.....probably because I prefer sexy, confident women....even if they are out of my league lol. That probably explains my attraction to Ashley as well.

I am assuming that an ending fix will happen so in the meantime I will play with the head cannon that the whole post beam fiasco is an attempt at indoctrination or some such.

Miranda is on my list after Tali. I should really go back and mod ME2 so I can see those romances first. Before that I want to do Kaiden.

I can't bring myself to romance a male. I am open minded about that but it is SO just not for me. I liked Kaiden's character but sadly he never survives Virmire. Some of the guys will say "bros before ho's" but they haven't taken a good look at Ashley then lol. Jacob was the same way. I liked his character but I just can't go there. I almost could with Garrus as he is an alien but he felt more like a "bro" then a LI.
I forgot about Tali. I like her personality. She sounds upbeat, loyal and fun. I was disappointed to see that BioWare took a stock image off the net and used a 'shopped version for their "Tali photo". At the very least they should have taken fan input and then chosen from that.
I was very attracted to Liara in ME1.....semi in ME2... and not at all in ME3. I like her but the attraction is gone even with that savory body she is sporting. I SO want that Shadowbroker DLC outfit she is wearing for my fem Sheps like I could in ME2.

sadly, I don't have an ME2 save where I romanced Tali and the saves I do have are 100% complete so there is no time left to let Miranda down and go for Tali. Do you or anyone else know how to mod the LI in ME2? I can do it for the ME1 LI, but not the ME2. I could see how as an alien that Tali could go both ways being more attracted to what Shep is and what Shep has done rather than what gender Shep is.

You're lucky you didn't bother with Jacob then, from what I hear....

But what about Liara's character turned you off? Asking purely out of curiosity, reading my sig you'll know where I stand.

And, what exactly about Ashley pushes the right buttons?

I need to do a Kaiden play-through to get Barrier and Reave. I am considering doing MM for that. Otherwise I might just keep him alive and do Tali or Miranda. We'll see. First we need new ending DLC.

I had recognized my oversight with the bonus unlockable powers you can get from Kaiden. Reave was my favorite supplimental power in ME2. I modified a ME2 save just for him and I found a save that didn't have firewalker done so I could bring in the Tali romance....double score! I won't be romancing him but I will be nice to get the powers and I like his character.

Liara started out as kind of naive and honest and now she is .....different. She feels more robotic to me then EDI does. (I would have loved to be able to romance EDI but she has always kinda been Joker's territory) The new graphics giving Liara's skin the scaly look didn't help either....that mixed with their attempt to make her facial structure look more like her VO actor. The "hair" creeps me out now too. Oddly enough, so does her not having ears. It didn't bother me before but it does now. I like long hair and I was SO glad they let Ashley's down.

I never romanced Ashley in ME1 because she was too preachy for my taste and carried too much baggage. She has matured a lot by ME3, let her hair down, and finally decided "to go for stuff". She is also very attractive in ME3. Her eyes really draw me in. They did an excellent job with them. She also has the best body in the game IMO. Well proportioned and FIRM. I so want her default uniform she wears in the meeting on earth for my fem Shep....very nicely done. Sexy and classy/business like at the same time....a VERY hard line to walk IMO.

EDIT....
about EDI....I can't believe they gave her a ****** in the white legged outfit....and not just a subtle one either.

I'll try my own playthrough with Ash too, to romance her in ME3.
But I have a question... Is it possible to romance her as femShep in ME3 if you didn't romance her earlier?

yea, I did it with her and Liara both otherwise there would be no LI at all if you started your ME3 with no imports. you can even begin it if you were a Talimancer like I was in one save...as long as you don't "seel the deal" with someone else first. The ones that don't seem to be possible are ones outside the "main 3" of Liara, Ash and Kaiden like Garrus, Tali, ect. They have to be romanced in ME2 or the choice is just not there.

sorry about the late reply, I forgot to check my "subscribed threads".

I suspect that is more of an oversight as as that outfit is just a repurposed Miranda outfit. Found it so bad personally that i immediatly switched back to her default outfit.

Oh sorry, I ment, even with save import, where you didn't romance anyone earlier, can you start romancing Ash as femShep?

No Ash is only for maleshep, don't know about savegame editing though.

Sure, same as we could with Miranda/Tali/Jack in 2. You'd just have to swap over to male during the gate conversation so you could get it started, and then it should run normally after that. The trouble is, I'm not sure we know which conversation is the gate. And there may be more than one. It might be worth just using Gibbed3 to set the TrueLove flag for Ash when the game starts and just see how it plays out...

...we are already doing that. look at the name of the thread.

@Astaiir
All 3 main love interests are able to be romanced regardless of past choices as far as I can see. I was able to romance Ash as a female with an import where my ME1 love interest was Liara. It was a male import that I changed to a female before importing it. She just brings it up in the hospital. With Ash, if you are talking to her throughout and give her the gift in the Hospital, I think the only conversation that matters to set the flag is the one at that restaurant in the commons. That is the one you have to change the flag "is female" to false then change it back after the conversation. after that the flag stays set and you are golden.

Gibbed's ME3 is now matured enough to change from male to female and visa versa including morphs now.

EDIT
have you checked to see what adding additional "person romanced" flags will do? Like adding both "Jack romanced" and "Tali romanced" to a game import? I wonder if it will give you both options like where you can tell both Miranda and Ash that you want them until you actually do the scene that cements the relationship or if it will just read the first one. In ME2, I was able to set all three background encounters to true so that I heard from Shep's mom, heard from the gang member, and heard from Taibia the girl I had to talk down from the colonist background.

There is no way that was an oversight. that is so defined it had to be done on purpose. Miranda's outfit in ME3 does not sport that big of a toe. I didn't really notice a toe at all on Miranda's outfit.

I can confirm that adding the romance flags set for other NPCs gives you the romance choice for them. I have Miranda, Tali, Jack, Liara and Ashley all going at once now. I think it will revert back to just one only after I "seal the deal". I will have to see. I don't think you can have more than one cutscene.....unless you can have a secondary cutscene type like the one with Miranda and then have your primary's LI cutscene on the Normandy....I wonder.....further testing needs to happen. I wonder if setting more than one "true love" flag to true will allow something like that.

Huh, I thought we were testing imported romance, not new.

Makes sense that the lunch is the gate conversation, though, since that's where Liara's and Kaidan's fall as well. I'm still curious about the relevance of the paragon interrupt at the memorial wall that only dudeShep gets, though, in that case...

the paragon interrupt at the memorial seems to have a gender check but doesn't seem to be a romance flag set location. I have successfully got the Ash romance to advance by simply making a save before the commons conversation, setting the "is female" to false, having the dialogue with the romance option taken, making a save and then setting the "is female" back to true. I did have the imported save set the "romanced Ashley in ME1" set though. I don't think it matters. I think the defining moment is that commons conversation.

A simple imported romance won't work. It works up until the "lunch" and then fails due to a gender check. That was made clear earlier in this thread.

Yeah we've known that for a bit, haven't we? My question is just why the gender check even exists for that interrupt if it's not a romance-relevant event.

Sadly the difference is pretty minimal either way. A bit of different dialog on Mars, and Ash will call you Skipper during the coup, and that's about it. :/

you mean other than sleeping with your fem Shep? yea, other than that whole capt. cabin scene, there isn't a whole lot of difference.

One other thing I stumbled on was how to add extra bonus powers multiple times. I know it isn't "on topic" but I was able to add ones I wanted so I didn't have to just let talent points go idle on powers I don't use. Oddly enough, the adding is far easier than the deleting of them. You can't just delete unused ones as easy as adding ones you want.

successfully got the Miranda love cutscene to go and then was able to go romance Ashley afterwards in the same playthrough. I just romanced them both and did Miranda's commons room encounter first and then set Ashleys romance flag to "true love" before talking to her in the commons and her romance progressed normally and gave me the pre-Cerberus station love scene in the capt cabin so 2 romances with cutscenes are possible.

For what it's worth I was able to create a modded import for FemShep on Xbox 360 who romanced Ashley in ME1. So far it has been working out pretty well. At one point I get Shelaloo voicing FemShep but after that the dialog is just silent. I'll let you know if I can complete the romance this way.

How did you manage that?  Is it done through the ME save editor or with a modded 360?  Do you know if Kaidan/mShep is possible through save edditing or mods?

I learned this from http://social.biowar...3/index/2277020

- Choose a career where you have not romanced anyone in ME2 (Kelly seems OK) since you can not change the ME2 romance flags.
- Go to system/storage and MOVE your save game to a USB stick (entire career) which was a little scary.  You can not copy it for some reason.
- Plug your stick into your PC (or Mac running parallels in my case)
- I used modio to open the stick. (http://www.game-tuts...hp?pageid=modio)
- take this time to click on show file (near the top by the file path) and back up your file
- I clicked on show files and chose the save I wanted to mod and right clicked to extract it to my PC
- I opened it in the modified gibbed save game editor (http://social.biowar...m/project/4373/)
- Make sure you edit the ME1 flags in both ME1 tabs.
- I removed Liara as my LI and set her romance progress to 0
- I set Ashley as my LI and set her romance progress to 6
- make sure that you have saved her on Vimire if not change it so you and and remove Kadien
- edit other options you want to change such as destroying heratics or saving Maelin's data
- save your file with a new number just for good measure
- go back to modio and go to the file list
- right click to inject your save back into the career file
- click on General File Info
- click Rehash & Resign
- then click save to device
- make sure you eject your device safely and then plug into your xbox
- now COPY your file back to your xbox.  Yes you can copy it back.
- import based on your new save entry and you should see your new choices in the import data

Note:  I did also make an import where my FemShep had romanced Kaiden and even one where the ME2 flags for Thane were set along with ME1:Ashley.  I haven't tried that one yet but it may also work.  I see no reason why you can't make a mShep Kaiden import but I can't say what will happen in game.

** UPDATE **

I have sucessfully complete this romance.  There is only one place where the gender flag is checked and that is when they meet at the cafe on the citadel.

To get past that do, make a save before you talk to Ashley.  Then do this same process but use gibbed's ME3 save game editor to change isFemale to false and go through this scene with what will look like a huskified FemShep model (this kind of adds to the charm in a way because of the sacrifice my FemShep had to endure to win the love of her life) and then once that scene is done edit the save to set isFemale back to true.  To be sure double check that AshleyTrueLove is now set to true but if you did the dialog and everythign right it should be.

Now you can finish the game and enjoy a beautiful SS romance with an occasional voice change (thankfully it isn't too bad) and silent dialog.

And this works?
