Ok well first lets get the whole issue of Biowares not defending the ending or changing it. Assume that not everybody gets the game on the first day. and then assume that you only play 1 hour a day. then do the math on however long the games supposed to be. and that many days will probably be before theres no longer a "spoiler warning" and thus they can discuss it.  So lets give them a grace period.


Now for a minute pretend YOU are not Commander Shepard. And that all the Decisions you made were just how the Movie trilogy plays out if it were a real movie trilogy . Compare your Mass Effect movie trilogy to others like Lord of The Rings, Star Wars {either trilogy} The Matrix trilogy {not counting animatrix} or any other trilogy {seriously those are the only ones i can think of} Would you accept it as a movie resolution in comparison with these other movies? And please allow me to bring up in Matrix Path of Neo right before movie neo plays Space Jesus to die for humanitys sins the Wachowski Brothers says thats a lame ending for a game so you fight an boss battle instead. For a minute here we are pretending Mass Effect is a movie that just played out the way with choices we decided in the game as natural. Does it fit?

In My Opinion as a video game the ending is lacking. But as a movie the slightest of tweaks could have fixed it.
1. Shepard Telling Joker to Escape because something big is about to happen. Joker doesn't want to abandon Shepard but Shepard explains that he needs to do this and he's proud of Joker.
2.The Deus Ex Machina allows a Holographic connection to the love interest to say goodbyes. It could be exceptionally heartbreaking with Liara because Shepard promised he wouldn't die on her again. But then they have to accept it. and say they love each other.
3. As Shepard falls into the machine , dies in the destroy explosion He doesnt just get flashes of all who died. He sees them waiting for him.  I know it's incredibly cliche and also implies that all the friends Shepard lost including Mordin goes to the same Heaven which is only slightly less cheesy then the Lost Series finale. But it would also imply Shepards not losing his crew and friends but Reuniting with his old friends.
4. on the jungle planet they crash on theres some sign of life. i don't mean like the terra nova season finale "we found an viking ship figurehead in the dinosaur era " but Maybe they pass into an clearing overlooking an colony.
5. A few extra scenes interspersed in the credits of the Krogan and Turians helping each other on Palaven, the Quarians and the Geth working together on Rannoch, thessia being rebuilt etc. Like the extra scenes in an movies credits. 
6.instead of being zoomed out in the very end epilogue with the child and old man in the woods at night {"You think your scared i have to go back through these woods alone"} We heave them sitting at a table looking at the box Liara had for Shepard to memorialize him.

Those are just my opinions though what are yours?
