i have awakening but i had to make a new profile on my cpu and awakening is not on the profile i have tried to find the folder with its code but i cant find it. any suggestions?

Since Awakening is an extension of DA:O, you won't find it in a separate folder. Load DA:O as usual and then look under "Other Campaigns." Choose "Dragon Age: Awakening", and off you go.

I had the same problem, and it isn't under the "Other Campaigns" menu. I'm going to continue trying to figure out an answer to this in the meantime...

It's not listed under "Other Campaigns" for me, either. It's still grayed out. Very frustrating.
