I can't believe how terrible the ending was. And I mean, the game story-wise was fantastic... up until the last 5 minutes. And I'm not naive enough to think they will change the ending, despite how many people petition it - because it can't be undone. I mean, how much more can you possibly ruin the entire trilogy? They slap together an ending that makes no sense, has no positive resolution or closure. It's pretty much a no-win scenario, everyone loses regardless of your choice.

People argue it's "more artistic" or "more realistic", but it completely goes against the entire tone and theme of this game. One man, impossible missions, impossible scenarios, conquering and coming out on top. That's Mass Effect in a nutshell. And yet there's no explanation for how or why anything is happening except it's a "cycle" and because the god child said so.

How about no god child? How about a final confrontation with Harbinger? How about a better twist, a better explanation and Shepard coming out on top? How about everyone doesn't lose despite your choices? How about things that make sense!
