I've read countless threads that have been divided over the quality of the endings; some opinions were respectful and well constructed, others.........not so much. In order to make sense of the disorder & catalog the player's thoughts into a manner that will be made easier for the development team to read and comprehend, I propose that players who have finished the game comment on the pros & cons of the endings, and if available, what that player would have wanted in the ending. Below is a format that will help in sorting out the mixed feelings regarding the conclusion to the Mass Effect Trilogy. Remember, be respectful and thoughtful with what you write; you'll be surprised at what happens when you have empathy for others.

Pros:
I loved the final conversations with your squadmates before the final push, especially the romances; it helped give me a sense of encouragement to end the Reaper threat. The atmosphere, tension, musical score, and length of the final mission made the action both exciting and fun. The push towards the conduit was spectacular, nothing like having a big grin on your face as trucks and carriers fly right past you as Harbinger tries to cut you like butter. 'Battle damaged' Shepard was awesome; going to war on earth without going unscath would have been a little bit dissapointing; thankfully this was not the case. The confrontation with the Illusive Man was very well done; the closure of his story was sad, and he could have been so much more if he wasn't so power hungry; props to Mac Walters for doing his character justice.

Cons: However, the sudden 'dissapearance' of your squadmates once Harbinger successfuly hits you directly
was confusing. With a high EMS, I hadn't detected them amongst the wreckage, let alone if they were alive at all. The introduction of the Catalyst, in my opinion, didn't make much sense. No exposition was given as to why it took the form of the kid that died at the beginning of the game, or why it acknowledged Shepard in the first place once it lifted him to the central core of the Citadel. Shepard just went along with it's argument, hardly even putting up his/her own counterargument in the process. What was more surprising during the conversation, was the lack of mention to the Quarian/Geth truce if you succeeded in accomplishing it.

Despite the choice you make, what follows next is unfullfilling. Without warning, buildup, or foreshadowing; the Normandy is flying through space, and is stranded somewhere in the nebula without so much as a hint. The people you take with you during the final push are suddently onboard; safe and unharm, if they survived Harbinger's attack on the area surrounding the conduit. The scene ends, and the credits roll.........just like that.

What I Wanted To Witness
: What I felt the ending lacked severely, was the acknowlegement of the choices you've made in the previous two installments in the trilogy. No word is mentioned of Palaven, Tuchanka, Thessia, and even the inhabitants that were on the Citadel before the Cerberus Base Assault. The entire game was incredible, seamlessly blending RPG elements with third person shooting mechanics; presentation, cinematics, gameplay, it felt to good to be real. The destination didn't do the journey justice; and I felt that it left anyone  emotionally invested in the narrative 'broken'. I don't know what else to say.........perhaps someone who has the time to share their thoughts the way I have will add to the disscusion, and cover what I've missed. Bioware, I respect the decision you made to implement the endings as they are now; developing a VERY HYPED game had to have taken its toll at some point. However, you've disappointed alot of loyal fans who have supported you for the past five years, and  even further than that; who have listened to the promises you've made since the moment you announced the first installment, and kept promising over and over again that the amount of time and money invested into this incredible franchise would pay off. I still have my copies of Mass Effect 1, 2, & 3; because despite the endings I've recieved, I still love it to much to cast them aside, and forget the times I've spent 'making a difference in the galaxy'. I've said all I needed to say, but Commander Shepard & the Normandy deserved so much more, and so did the fans.

I find it interesting that your pros end where God-Child begins, much like everyone else. I think we're in agreement here.
