I like the whole original Dark Energy plot.. Atleast then the reapers had solid purpose, one that was not circular in nature..

It would make more sense if the reapers could come ONLY when synthetics are threatening the universe. Then the reapers would just destroy synthetics and maybe half destroy the race that created the synthetics. Instead of just wiping everyon you know.

Well it's all stupid but...

How does this break the "inevitability" of organics being killed by synthetics?
Yeah you set galactic progress back 50,000 years and a lot of societies are going to flat out die in isolated systems but let's say eventually somebody rebuilds and gradually progresses with technology.
What's stopping them from creating an AI? And said AI goes bananas and kills them all?

Oh "they won't progress as they have before what with being guided" well if that was the problem, WHY WERE YOU GUIDING THEM, IDIOT KID?

Good point.  If the problem is that the cycle of created destroying creators always repeats, then maybe the problem is not with the variables (organics) but with the constant (Reapers).  That is basic scientific process right there.  When you change something and keep getting the same exact result, the key factor is the stuff you didn't change.  It really just shows me that the logic fell apart at the end.

Yeah.  At least with that plot then it would a matter of something that wasn't actually within their control.  Maybe their system would still be flawed, but at least the Catalyst wouldn't be blaming us for not using its technology correctly, even though the system is seemingly rigged for failure.

i could handle shepard making a final sacrifice and dying . but these endings.. thanks to arrival you didnt save earth every system with a mass relay is destroyed and that would also include earth no matter what you choose.

guess this is the change we can expect when people feel like they have the right to leak endings months before release. well done leakers hope you are happy

Yes, some species in the future will inevitably pull a Quarian and unwillingly lead to creating Geth-like synths. But I doubt any species could create anything remotely close to the Reapers. I guess that's the point of the Destroy option.

The Control option in my opinion is iffy as well, yay, you control the Reapers, how the eff do you know you won't go bonkers and decide to continue the Cycle? Nothing explained.

That's why I went with Synthesis. With no further explanation from the Star Kid I assumed making everyone synths would remove the cause of the Cycle since there'd be no organics left. I also hoped to see Joker's Vrolik Syndrome removed but noooo. At least he can now go wild with EDI.
