Lots of people think they lived and crash landed on some jungle planet. But the fact that your squad-mates (who I presume were killed during the run to the beam) and Joker (who was frantically flying away from a death-cloud of fire) are the only ones there makes me think it to be some sort of heaven.

Either way I'm sad about Garrus (for me).
