Is anyone else troubled by the lack of a real final boss?

Final endings with the Crucible and all that aside, I was kinda bummed by the lack of a real final boss. I was kinda expecting a Saren-esque battle with TIM. As it was, you had an amazing talk with him on the Citadel and ended him with one bullet. I'd say the final battle is when you are defending the Thanix missle batteries, which is a damn hard battle, but not a final boss. Kai Leng kinda fit the bill, but he was easy to beat(Black Widow Infiltrator FTW). Other than that, there's no boss like the ProtoReaper in ME2 or Saren in ME1. This was kinda disappointing to me.

Anyone else feel the same way? And please don't let this turn into another endings bashing thread.

I love boss battles in RPGs. They're a mainstay feature for a reason. They're meant to make you feel like you've accomplished something and fit the role of a hero. No fight like that happened at the end of ME3 and it irritated me. I mean...the closest thing to a boss battle we had were the reaper fights earlier in the game. Kai Leng doesn't count to me...a terminally ill Thane kicked his ass. He is a failure.
