And after all the heartbreaking moments and the amount of rage I had for wanting to kill Kai Leng and the Illusive Man, and the rather great storytelling..

.. that complete garbage of an ending was it? I sit here and feel completely and utterly ripped off. How does one go from great storytelling to that steaming pile of nonsense?

I've never played a game/series that was SOOOOO good for 99% and so utterly awful at the very end.

I think guy who wrote it was on crack so he though it was super-deep. And all other staff was on weed, so they though it would be pretty funny.

Indeed, The ending would have just been okay if it had ended with Shep and Anderson just sitting there. It wouldn't have been good, but okay. Instead we come face to face with a genocidal little monster, (a true deus ex machina even) and Shep just blindly agrees with it even after it admits to being a reaper and being the architect of the cycles. To hell with that.

I'm beginning to get delusional and think the ending was a psychological test to see if their fanbase would fall in line with projected outcomes and "roles." Cause I said before:

BioWare = Reapers
Fanbase that dislike the ending = united races
Fanbase that like the ending = Cerberus

It fits too well.

And EA = The Catalyst.

Did George Lucas get a hold of that ending or something and write it?

Its bad, and its sci-fi. Trust me, Lucas had something to do with it.

Welcome to the club, buddy. The first 99% of the game is absolutely phenomenal. The final 1% blows it all to hell.

Well, if Lucas had been involved. . .

We'd reach the Catalyst, it would give its BS choices, then furry midgets would jump out and kill it with sticks and we'd get fireworks and a happy ending.

We need sigs for this. Seriously. Back when Bioware did their little collectathon promotion and people found out it was only for America, the fans created sigs to show their displeasure.

This would make a really great sig picture. Somebody get on this...

Once more putting the entire blame on the parent company only serves to allow the actual company or employees at fault for selecting such a horrendous ending to wiggle away from the blame, remain focused on the goal, and do not try to shift blame. The endings were terrible and we have a right to put pressure on them until they present us with a way to get a true epilogue, don't harass them, but don't let up on your criticism. What I find especially egregious is that the people who love the endings feel a need to tote their intellectual 'superiority' because they are capable of rationalizing really well instead of seeing the obvious faults and then you have the trolls, which we have on both sides of the equation.

That sounds disturbingly preferable to what we are currently offered.

I just can't sit here and tell all of you how utterly disappointed I feel. I can't even get it into words.

If you ever had any thoughts of making Baldur's Gate 3, Bioware, please don't. I wouldn't want you to butcher another series.
