So I've heard that in order to save both the Geth and Quarians, you should do both the Quarian N7 missions if you decided to re-write the Geth. However, I've only managed to find one:
Does anyone know what the second one is? It would be very much appreciated, and I'm sure those that want to save both the Quarians and Geth would want to know as well. Doing a second playthrough and I was sad when Tali committed suicide.
Are you talking about saving them in Mass Effect 3? Because for the newest game, you simply need a high reputation, and to choose the paragon options during Legion's upload after destroying the Reaper. N7 missions from ME2, like the Quarian crash site, have no significant impact on ME3
Er, no, people mean the two Quarian missions in ME3, not ME2.
The things you need to do in ME2 to ensure peace is a possibility are...
1. Destroying the heretics. Not essential, but helps cover up missing things - you can still earn peace if you rewrite them, and if you're successful your army will be larger for the effort, but it's harder. Nets you +2 points toward peace.
2. Recruiting Tali & ensuring she survives the suicide mission: Essential.
3. Recruiting Legion & ensuring it (they?) survive the suicide mission: Essential.
4. Successfully resolving the Legion/Tali conflict point in ME2 (easier paragon choice than renegade). Nets you +1 point towards peace.
5. Ensure Tali is not exiled (Take a third option during her trial.) Nets you +1 or +2 points, I forget which, toward peace.
You also need to do the two missions in ME3 on Rannoch that aren't the priority mission. Each one of those nets you a +1 bonus.
You need a total of 5 peace points to open up the option to persuade people - which you can still fail by not having enough reputation. There are a total of 7 peace points available between the two games.
Ohhhh okay. In my last playthrough I did forget to do one of them on Rannoch before doing the final mission, that would be why I did not have the option. That especially bugged the LIVING HELL out of me that I wasn't able to do it, and I wondered what the ramifications were. I guess this would be it.
this is the video that said you needed some "5 points" in order to save them both. Look at the details under the video. So is that not accurate?
It's not accurate, but for a different reason.
There are two missions on Rannoch. You must do the Geth Fighter Squadron mission to even have the option, however it does not provide you any points. With Admiral Koris, you get a point for completing that mission, and if during that mission you actually save Admiral Koris [reputation check and paragon/renegade option], you get another point.
