They changed the plot direction for ME3 and didnt cover all the bases with explanations. Careless and rushed imo, but it may have not been their fault. I would like to know the whole story with the development before judging.

I'm not that hard to please.  I can overlook minor plot holes between the three games.  But when there is a plot hole so large that it negates THE ENTIRE TRILOGY.  There is a problem.

Problem is the Crucible is still his system, so we're still operating on this little jerk's rules.
Like a control freak sociopath serial killer, he has plans for everything including his own death.

I may have missed this within the two minute conversation I had with the Reaper child.. but even from your own statment the reaper child would still have the power to asses and change the solution to the cycle... Meaning at the very least he still has controll over the reapers..

None of this is stated in that conversation, so you didn't miss anything. And for the record, I'm totally on your side here: It's really dumb. I'm just trying to rationalize things, partially for my own sake.

And yeah, God-Child can (and does) change the solution once he sees it's not working, but (presumably, in this system) he is not omniscient. Which definitely undermines the authority on which he claims that, "Organics and synthetics can never live in harmony!", but does allow for him to have a system which he leaves running until he comes to learn that it doesn't. He didn't know it would stop working when he developed the Reapers, but he knew it might, hence the failsafe.

ah I understand. i was attempting to rationlize the ending myself untill I realized how much of it is nonsense.

From my understanding the Reapers themselves are a failsafe against the Organics vs. Synthetics deal, and since he has some idea of what goes on around him he should have registered Soverigens attempts to start the Reaper solution..

Other issues related to the endings aside, this was one of two main logic gaps I didn't get in the catalyst's speech.

The other is why, if he can create some way of merging all(!) variants of organic and synthetic life (pretty quickly), does he have need for the reapers at all? That seems to imply some pretty complete and precise molecular or atomic control, in which case why not just hit all organics with a beam ever 50k years and zap them into reapers, then have them reduce their own planets to rubble?

to sum it up: The new lead writer's fault. He probably jumped into this project without going over the contents of the past work.

This very reason is why the tv adaption of The Walking Dead is turning into a trainwreck storywise, and fast.

I honeslty saw the synthesis solution as Reaper Harvesting Lite...

The whole thing is one big logic gap of nothing matters.

Using there logic. The God Child creates the reapers and all he does is watch and observe.. Or maybe he is asleep and waits for the day some flesh meat walks on his clean little god house.

Then he tells the flesh meat some Bat **** story about a Late night tv series he just watched 5 years ago... Thought it was cool and made the Flesh meat play simon says.

Makes sense to me.
