For my Sentinel, I usually use the Mattock or Geth Plasma Shotgun. Sometimes I use the Discpline or Graal Spike Thrower. Very good weapons for the Sentinel, as they are not very heavy after getting to around rank V.

As a Vanguard, I clung to the N7 Valkyrie assault rifle pretty much the whole way through. The Phaeston and the Geth Pulse Rifle are pretty sweet, as well.

As a soldier, Black Widow (from Spectre Shop) and Ravenant (sick dps + looks good, you get this after the Cerberus Attack on the Citadel, availdable in one of the shops). I roll with Garrus and Liara. Group stasis into Black Widow head shotting everything, with Garrus overloading enemies with shields into Andranaline Rush(AR) on the last shot to refresh your ammo clip (yes! AR refreshes your ammo clip!!) into sniping off another 3 poor indoctranated souls. Gives me a HELL YEAH moment every time.

Black Widow and Carnifex, both with damage and armor piercing mods + armor-piercing ammo on an infiltrator character

wow, does no one play engineers? anyway i tend to go raptor and arc pistol

raptor for its double duty
arc for that huge ammo reserve, and its charge even though it does eat ammo faster gives it a decent punch

My go to weapon is usually the M-13 Raptor. Though I tend to use my powers an awful lot for an infiltrator. :P

Once I got it, my vanguard only carried the disciple for the rest of the game. I pretty much just charged around with my 200% weight reduction and shotgunned people in the face.

As a Vanguard, Eviscerator shotgun with blade attachement and smart choke is very versatile; with the choke, on Hardcore, it can service as a mid-range weapons against weaker foes, the Blade makes the heavy melee a very good finisher to get instant Charge cooldown. 3 shots is not much, but I rarely need more, reload is fast, and it's still very powerful. Oh, and Incendiary Ammo with the explosion upgrade friggin rules with this, so long as defneses are stripped nothing ahort of Brutes or Atlas can survive a shot. Spike Thrower doesn't seem very powerful and while the Claymore is very cool indeed, it's just too slow to reload.

On the side in case ranged attacks must be used (damn Banshees...) is the ever-faithfull Carnifex, wit scope and barrel. Reasonable weight, dead accurate, good damage. The Talon is really fun to use, but just weights too much, and the Scorpion is innaccurate and slow past short-mid range.

Also, levelled Garrus with a Widow kicks serious ass. Sometimes one-shots Assault Troopers and Cannibals.

Singularity/Throw/Spectre Pistol.

And Garrus with a Widow is fun to watch.

As an Adept...

Usually Singularity + Warp for a big explosion and much laughter as bodies went flying. Or just plain Warp for armored targets.

The actual gun I used was usually either the Salarian pistol that fires the delayed explosive rounds (and serves as proximity mines if you shoot the scenery) that you get on Sur'kesh from Kirrahe (the same one he uses in the cutscene to shoot the Engineers with) or the Paladin heavy pistol when I was on a map that the proximity mine effect would not work well on.

Tried the SMGs out but I didn't like any of the SMGs this time around. The one from Kasumi's DLC loyalty mission in ME2 was my go-to weapon there but in ME3 all the SMGs felt like they didn't do very much damage-per-clip or had too much recoil when being fired.

Didn't bother using any other weapons as an Adept during the SP campaign.

I know how you feel...I used the N7 Hurricane and an Avenger early on (194% recharge speed at first, then 200%) I later switched my Avenger for a Mattock since I needed more power at range (184% recharge speed this time.) But the Hurricane still isn't as good as the Locust SMG as the Hurricane's recoil is a bit too much at times (got to shoot in shorter bursts than the locust.)

All the N7 weapons are amazing, and for once in a game I think the extra guns (being the N7 weapons) are actually the best weapons i the game.

I only spent time with the SMG so far, since I'm playing as an adept right now. Tested the sniper in the practice range and it does have potential to be a rather powerful go to sniper rifle.

Soldier. Revenant V and Black Widow V. Destructive. Adrenalin Rush only required for taking on Brutes, Banshees etc.

Me and Garrus, both with Revenant Vs, with Liara CC'ing? Insanity owned.

I use the Mattock a lot in MP and love it. Should see if in NG+ the Mattock at rank X gets light enough to allow 200% recharge. If so, I might switch up to just using it instead of just using a pistol.

I think I had it at about 180% at level V.  But then I also only had a pistol with me and the lightest one possible.  I love the Mattock.  I am also starting to love the N7 SMG, Hurricane.  Put a scope on it and that gun is sweet.  Used it the entire run with my engineer.

Eviscerator (+dmg, +ap) / Mattock (+dmg, scope) on my Insanity vanguard. Same loadout as ME2 actually, available pretty early in the game, and my recharge is +99% at lvl V before equipment and research. I could scope a Paladin instead of the Mattock and kick my recharge up a little more without losing any effectiveness, and I do love that gun, but I just like the aesthetics of using an AR better. Good for long range sniping and mail slotting and it'll do fine for melee range in a pinch if I have to charge without switching weapons. Ammo can get tight but the +ammo upgrade on Inferno Ammo is usually enough to compensate (if I were to play again, though, I might switch to +ammo mods for the endgame).

Argus rifle isn't too bad. It is just a hard hitting and heavier version of the Vindicator. Mattock X is 200% recharge btw.

I'm getting more keen on the Argus too. With stability upgrades and a scope it is reasonably decent for Soldier class at medium range. Seems to pack a serious punch if used with level 6 ammo powers. Mattock I like with a scope, but not really needed currently with soldier build and not sure whether it is really much better than using the Raptor. Then again N7 Valiant is generally my sniper rifle with AP mod.

Just unlocked Rev and it was pretty awesome on the Cerberus Citadel fight, but not sure whether it is better than the Phaeston, when I can land more rounds on target with the latter. Anyone know whether squadmates make proper use of these light MG syle weapons?

Not tried out the Chakram launcher myself yet (trying to find a mission suitable for a test), but probably will do. Particle rifle I'm avoiding, though Javik has been a constant companion and is awesome with it (I swear he took out an Atlas mech on his own with it)

Garrus with a Revenant is brutally effective, I've found (yes, on Insanity).
