Scoped Saber feels nice and seems to hit a bit harder (and obviously faster) than the Raptor to me, but you don't get it until basically the end of the game, you sacrifice some range and the ability to see through smoke, and for my infiltrator you loose time dilation. It also weighs enough that it gimped power recharge rate beyond the point that I was comfortable w/ if I tried to carry it and a sniper rifle.

If weapons carry over to NG+, I'll probably check it out a good bit more as I plan to change this main Shepard over to another class (thinking maybe Sentinel).

It does seem like powers own guns just about any day of the week for just about any class from a power gaming perspective, but sometimes you just wanna blow some stuff away rather than lighting them up w/ sparkly magic type stuff...

I caouldn't change my class from an ME3 import.

Paladin and Geth Shotgun for Vanguard. Paladin with damage and scope mods is like an ultra-light sniper rifle. With sufficient ammo capacity upgrades (armour pieces, weapon mod and warp ammo), I can get 5 shots with the Geth Shotgun before reloading.

Gibbed save editor allowed me to change class/equiped weapon/companion (for a save file) in ME2. Haven't tried that with the ME3 save editor yet.

You and your Tempest ... tried the Hurricane? That thing just farts dakka!

I used that at first before I got the Tempest. I hate it. The recoil is insane.

I used the raptor almost exclusively once I got it with an Adept. Anything else throughout the game was really just experimentation. But I dealt way more damage with biotics than any weapon, probably a 20:1ratio.

For me, it's always the M-3 Predator for a pistol and the M-8 Avenger Assault Rifle.

... What?

I didn't buy the Paladin... never had the money.

But in my hands was the Carnifex Hand Cannon and the Geth Plasma Shotgun.

Carnifax pistol. Before I obtained it though, I always carried some kind of heavy pistol and it became my go-to weapon.
Anyone remember what weapon Illusive man shot himself with?

For soldier: Geth Rifle (found the Particle Rifle to go through ammo too quickly. Played KoA:R demo all the way through, but there was an error at the end connecting to the EA server so I did not get the gun.) Black Widow (not really worth it compared to Widow), and the lightest SMG.

I ended up with a combination of the Revenant and Disciple for my vanguard, was able to lay down fire with both if I wasn't feeling lucky enough to charge and had a cool down time that wasn't impeding my powers. I started a soldier that's putting the Vindicator and Valiant to good use.

I ran my Vanguard with the Revenant. I just like the Revenant a lot. I feel like it's symbolic of Shepard. Revenant and no other guns gave me pretty quick cooldowns so i was charging and gunning everywhere. So satisfying.

In my NG+ I'm trying out the Black Widow. I think I'll play Infiltrator on another game.

I liked the Geth Shotgun on my Vanguard (and the scimitar). And the Geth AR on my Engineer (with the Paladin as side arm). FemShepAdept I'm not sure yet what ima do. Almost forgot, on the Engineer also the Particle AR every now and then.

For my Vanguard-

I use an Assault Rifle, Shotgun, and SMG for a good balance of firepower.

AR: The Vindicator served me well in 2, and continues to be my Huckleberry in 3. Good stopping power for its weight, decent clip size, and very accurate even at long range.

Shotgun: This one I had to toy around with. I found that the three I used most often were the Graal, Claymore, and Eviscerator, eventually settling on the M-22 for its excellent stopping power and intermediate weight, despite the smaller clip.

SMG- Tempest or Locust. For when I find myself with a bit of a Husk or Scavenger problem and I need some quick firepower right now, but don't need it to be too powerful.

If you have the From Ashes Expansion pack, use the Particle Rifle. Turns everyone into liquid and doesn't need thermal clips. Also, if you keep it on a continual burst it builds up power and just destroys everything. Real good for close groups of bad guys.

As an engineer I stuck with the tempest, N7 eagle and avenger or vindicator the entire game and still had 198% recharge rate on insanity. Although as an engineer I found myself relying less on weapons and more on powers. Weapons just got weaker and weaker for me, especially later on in the game even with upgrades compared to power combos.
