During the final run towards the tower, you are given two squad members to make the assault with. After engaging the Reaper, everyone (including your two squad members) save Coats and Shepard are killed instantly, with Coats dying soon after.
Who did you choose to assault the Citadel with, and what did their deaths mean to you?
I lost Liara, my LI (and my favorite character) and Garrus. That's about as bad as it gets.
I'm so disappointed. Even if I could save myself and Earth, there wouldn't be anything to go back for.
*cries*

I took Garrus (my LI) and Tali (my Bff) but since I saw no corpses, I figured they ditched me... which I'm perfectly okay with. 
Until I saw them crash land and go off to play Tarzan and Jane together. Not okay.

Apparently they don't die if you have enough war assets. If you don't, you'll see their bodies.

Ditto, brought my LI along and at the end hops off the damn normandy WITHOUT A SCRATCH after taking a reaper laser to the face.

I had 3300 War Assets (Couldn't get Geth, Rachni, or some others). You'd think if they were still alive, they'd go with you. Would've been nice to see Garrus snipe TIM for me.

Had over 5000 War Assets and took Garrus and Liara. I chose the destroy ending and had two squadmates leave the Normandy with Joker. Liara and Garrus had best starve to death on that god-forsaken planet, cuz if my Shep ever sees them again they're as good as dead, BFF/LI or not.
