I don't have any saves with Kaiden. I always save Ashley. The wiki doesn't have the ME3 Barrier info yet and when I searched the forums I didn't find any explanation of the power and it's evolutions. I'm assuming it like Tech Armor, Fortification, and Defense Matrix. So my questions are:
What is the Damage Reductions?
What is the Purge benefit?
What is the passive benefit?
What is the recharge penalty?
What are the Rank 4,5,6 choices?
I currently love shield powers for my Vanguard. Defense Matrix has a better purge, but Fortification has a better passive. I want to know what Barrier does and if it has better benefits for Vanguards. I'm really don't want to re-roll a level one ME3 character just to see what barrier does.
What does Barrier Bonus power do?

like tech armor it has defencive power when you hit the button again it releases a wave of energy like tech armor but makes enemies float like pull does they take damage too. you increase the radius of it.

Thanks for the the reply. But I ended up just bitting the bullet and did a "quick" (7 hours) Kaiden Playthrough and got Raeve and Barrier.
It has the same 25-50% damage reduction as DM and Fort. The Passive rank 5 bonus is 25% power damage whcih is the same as Fort and better than the 20% Tech bonus on DM. The purge is low damage Nova explosion that uses the Asari Heavy Melee animation with an lift grenade type effect.
I thought I would work great with Nova detonations but in practice it doesn't. If you charge you can't purge because of the charge cooldown. If run into a group instead of charging, the Barrier Purge blast pushes the enemies out of Nova range or Nova pushes enemies out of Purge range. It's better than DM for non-purge, passive only strats, but DM (shield recharge) and Fort (melee damage boost) are better for purge strats.

I wanna try it on Shep...it is almost worthless on my battlemaster in MP though..

it's pretty good when paired up with tech armor, as you can get 50% damage reduction for almost no recharge penalty by using the cerberus armor and 200% cooldown

I use it on my Vanguard for the increased power damage. The damage reduction is meh when it's so hard to die on Insanity. I don't bother with its detonation effect, though.
With the right loadout, you can still have stupidly fast cooldowns with Barrier up.
