Save your soul. Don't finish the game.
Does anyone at all like the endings?

I Liked it it worked. People didn't like it cause it didn't have a true "happy ending"

End of a trilogy people expect closure, stuff happens then credits roll just leaves a lot of confusion in the air.
Unless it's something like a preequel trilogy then you already know what happens. But leaving it so open and unknown is bad story writing.
Mystery carries a story, but it should never be the variable to end it.

The thing is, IT IS NEVER EXPLAINED!... WELL... this isn't batman, the other two games had truer happy endings. I tried for months creating a godjesus file, and I got the upmost military readyness, set it up so I dont die... and I die... 9 months of my life im not getting back...

Just beat it. The ending literally made no sense, was completely hamfisted, and did not even really tell me what happened afterwards to all the characters/races. Ruined the entire experience for me. How hard would it have been to at least do a Dragon Age Origins style ending where they tell us how our decisions impacted the universe?

Like I said, I think they rushed because they had to make multiplayer perfect, as it is the only thing being advertised. That leads to cutting corners, which leads to sloppyness, which leads to a bad end, which leads to hundreds of angry people XO

It seems like Enslaved all over again. 99% of the game absolutely brilliant then the ending turns it all to... crap.

I fine with it if it has a bad ending or a sad ending. Except Mass Effect 3 didn't have any ending.
Everything blew up, people walked outside of a ship, and credits began to roll. That's not an ending.

I actually think that is incorrect... the biggest gripe, as nearly every. single. person. who disliked the endings of this game have said... it had no closure. Relays destroyed, doesn't matter what ending you chose; we don't know what effect that had on the galaxy. And we have no idea what effect (other than padding out the game to get that military readiness score) any of your decisions had on the universe.
I chose the synthesis ending, because I have a personal interest in transhumanism, and the philosophies around them. I would have liked to have seen that explored... how did the synthesis affect the different races?
Or any of the endings? How did being cast back into the dark-ages affect the different societies? How did controlling the reapers (and the subsequent destruction of the relays) effect the societies, and the people, that we've come to like and love through out the games? What happened to Rannoch? What happened to Thessia? What happened to Palovan?
We don't know... because there was no closure...
Think of the ending of Fallout new vegas: that showed us you could see how your decisions affected the different groups (BoS, NCR, The Kings, Followers, etc)
We don't necessarily need full blown cinematics to explain that... something LIKE Fallout New Vegas' endings would be fine... a few lines of voice over... if that is even necessary... you could have pre-rendered pictures in the background with the same scrawling text font they use for "In [some bloody year] humans found alien devices on mars... To everyone else it was called Mass Effect..."
Closure. That is what we want... I mean it would be just as stupid if I didn't fi

hur dur heavy spoilers:
So let me get this straight. This thing says it can control the reapers, he also states that his methods are now useless ... then he basically says to Shepard to kill himself and destroy mass relays in the process ... and shepard just agrees like nothing! WTF r u doin? ... the AI bs thing just stays there go ****in convince him to stop this ****. Why the **** i needed so many paragon points anyway? i can't even save anyone
can you imagine ME2 plot with that kind of logic... cheap tragedy

Hell no they won't. The series is over. All that's left is weapon/armor/map packs. Maybe a new Multiplayer mode in eight months.
