Is this idea of DLC too optimistic to hope for?

So, as you all know, the endings were a low blow to anyone who's sunk in 100+ hours on the mass effect trilogoy(everyone, basically).

We've also been told that there isn't going to be any DLC after the ending, that it's done (which I honestly think Bioware WILL have to change, just by the progress of such polls as this alone http://social.biowar...06/polls/28989/ or have their reputation and sales be utterly destroyed henceforth.)

A little bit off topic, but i'll get back onto it in a moment, I promise. Video games are a form of entertainment, enjoyment. You aren't supposed to leave a form of enjoyment feeling depressed. Hell, 9/10 of us play games to get AWAY from it, we all have enough of that crap to deal with in the real world.

Alright, back on topic. DLC, right. We can't have anything AFTER the normandy crash, but what about leading up to it? We're given very vague ideas on what happened after Shepard stopped the reapers. So, is a DLC entailing what happened to Shepard after he stepped into the light possible? Perhaps leading up to why/how my squad mates that were with me on earth were somehow with the Normandy crew? Based on your chosen ending, I would also like the possibility that Shepard could be, in fact inside the Normandy when it crashes.

Perhaps he's unconcious in the med bay when it crashes, or strapped in somewhere else; but we aren't told that Shepard is -not- on the Normandy, we only see a few key members (notably, the ones that were freaking with me on EARTH ..) step out of the Normandy. Even if it's a simple story/cinema, just some closure, if this is indeed the end of the saga.

So, can we make this happen please? I don't care that we're all living back in the stone age again. Let my Shepard and his Love Interest have their peace. The most depressing part of this ending is the entire theme of the Mass Effect trilogy was "build your story, choose your path", and at the last possible moment you took that away from us, and essentially said, "Do you want your beam that throws you back into the stone age to be Blue, Red, or green?". Give us our chance to choose our ending, and give our Shepards a bit of happiness. I'm pretty sure leaving 95% of your loyal fanbase as "REALLY F*CKING DEPRESSED" is disatisfactory.

Also, I'll pay to see it happen.

Where is it that we were told that there will be no DLC after the ending ?

Flip it the other way: is it cynical for me to think their DLC sales would take a massive hit if they DIDN'T release an ending first?

Taking what's going on in the forum and what's starting to pop-up in mass-media, I find it more reasonable to believe that this debacle is going to hit DLC hard rather than DLC sail not being affected at all. Sure people will buy it, but sure as hell not as many as it should've been.

If Bioware doesn't come up with a new ending, starting with the star child and gives it to us for free, I'm never buying another bioware game again.

That's what I think of the DLC.
