Okay, I'm a little confused here. What exactly is going on with the 1.02 patch? I'm reading that people with the digital version have been able to download it, while people with physical copies of the game havenot. There's nothing about the 1.02 version in the patch notes here on the BioWare website.

Does anyone have any idea what it actually does (apart from keeping people playing with each other in multiplayer) or when it'll be available for disc-based owners?

Good question. I hope the Citadel Freeze/Blackscreen issue gets addressed.

I hope so, too. That bug is really a pain in the rear. Hope it fixes Hanar Diplomat as well.

I half wonder if the disc-based version is taking longer to land because they're trying to work in an installation option for the game. That'd be fine by me, frankly.

from what was said earlier it sounds like even Bioware was shocked that this happened. So looks like they are not sure how it happened but everyone should be on 1.02, but disc owners arent.

Yep, those are the 1.01 notes. There still aren't any notes for 1.02, not even here on the website. They've only got the 1.01 notes up.

The thing is disc based owners cant play with digital based owners because digital has a different version now. So when will disc owners like myself get the update, I cant play with half my friends on MP because of it.

Framerate needs to be adressed too, my god how awful sometimes.

i would be happy as hell if the patch ONLY addressed the framerate issue. For real. Thats the main reason i cant enjoy this game properly , the main reason why i toned down the difficulty from hardcore to just normal because the framerate affected the shooting and aiming aspect and i was not having fun losing because of that...

and this comes from a guy that was running through me2 on insanity for fun...

Don't get your hopes up with this patch.
I have the digital version and the patch installed and the framerate is still really bad

Yep, insanity in ME2 was a breeze, but in ME3 although there are many enenies without protections is annoying as hell, damn grenades... It is more fun though having to move around in ME3. In ME2 you could sit in your corner and mow them down as they came towards you.

Patch 1.02 was released on Friday Night to all PSN digital versions of Mass Effect 3. Disc owners never got the update. From what I have seen the patch does not fix anything noticeable in the game other than separating people from multiplayer. I am assuming Bioware had no clue about it since it went on without notice.

They need to put of a disc update ASAP, this is just terrible

I just downloaded the game, hoping it would produce a less choppy game than the disc version, and so far I haven't seen anything glaring. It definitely slows down in parts, but it's not terrible. I've only just gotten to the citadel, so I'm not far into it yet.

Just wanted to add my experience. Not sure why it seems random for the framerate to be causing these issues for people.

Probably just allows us to play with digital download owners, hope patch notes are up soon though.
