Just got the update on my PS3 and came here to see nobody know what it does, awesome.

Let us know Bioware, you've got a LOT of work ahead of you on PS3, so we need to know what this did.

I do know one thing it does: It don't fix squat. Hanar diplomat quest is still bugged; and I black screened on the Citadel still.

got the update myself. the game now constantly freezes on me when I try to leave the hospital. Also had an instance where there were no enemies in a certain mission, but I could not go to the next section until I left the game and went back in. I hope this patch gets patched soon.

I really dont want Bioware to keep patching the multiplayer aspect of the game, since ME was always primarily a single player experience and on PS3 there are huge issues with framerate, bugs etc etc.

Please dont let this be a series of multiplayer patches, leaving the single player experience there to rott...

I think the patch fixed the way the website reads your collection. I just read my registered content page, and it now shows my collector's edition info and the game soundtrack, and I can finally download the soundtrack.

I'm a disc owner for ps3, and it's available to install. But thinking about downloading this makes me annoyed... (cause whatever the patch it is, it takes forever for me to download because of constant errors. Is it same for other PS3 owners?)

What p*sses me off is how sites like IGN are clearly ignoring the faults and the only way any potential buyer would be any the wiser is to check Amazon user reviews. It was exactly the same with Skyrim, the developer initially goes dark when faults are brought up then you have to wait weeks for some kind of acknowledgement by which time they've sold shedloads. What companies like Bethesda and Bioware fail to realise is this kind of tactic won't be forgotten around the release of their next major title (Dragon Age III no doubt...).

Oh yes. After the garbage that was DA2, I shall not be buying another title in that series. In fact, ME3 may be the last Bioware title I ever purchase, I am so thoroughly disappointed. DA:O was smart and ambitious and created a world for us to explore and feel a part of. DA2 was just a linear, shallow button-masher for the mouth-breathers who found DA:O too complex for them.

This multiplayer/patch issue has just left a real sour taste in my mouth when coupled with the lack-luster story and finding out that nothing you do nor any choices you made during your gameplay throughout the series ultimately have any bearing at all on the way events play out. I feel cheated.

This patch fixed the problem with connecting with EU players from US players. I guess it fixed the digital users connecting with disc sunset we are all on the same update. It should.

No, it only took about 5 seconds for me.

I think I'll wait for the 1.03 patch to fix the problems caused by 1.02

Still can't join a game with a friend from the US (I'm from Australia). Seems like he got the new patch... We got stuck on the 'joining game' screen :(

This was the 'official' reply I got from EA when contacted about the Citadel freezing (and deleted save data as a direct result of this). Not much help really but thought I'd share;

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

I appreciate your interest in Mass Effect 3 and assure you my support in getting the issue fixed

Please note that there is no such patch available to solve your issue. I suggest you to please delete your corrupt data files so they can not create any inconvenience in future.

Electronic Arts values your affiliation and looks forward to hear from you. Also, in case of any help, please get in touch with us anytime. Alternatively, please visit our extensive knowledge base online: http://help.ea.com/

Looking forward for your reply.

Where's Garrus when you need him? He could've/should've made some calibrations to the PS3 version of ME3 before Bioware/EA shipped it out. All joking aside, hopefully patch 1.03 will fix the freezes/glitches on the Citadel.

I'm also from Australia and I have the exact same problem. The worse thing is that I cannot simply go back out of it and have to manually exit the game in the XMB.

1.2 didnt fix anything for ps3 so why do we need this? We need something to patch the glitches everywhere
