I don't feel I made a mistake. I regret nothing in choosing Thane. The mistake lies with the writing team in regards to Thane.

Maybe the actual ending left me so confused that I completely forgot about it... But I actually romanced Liara and I don't remember a flashback at all during the end.

Bug? Or bad memory?

Really? At the end you have three flashbacks, first Joker, then Anderson and finally, supposedly, your LI.

Ya know. If said LI was in ME1. :pinched:

I got a Liara flashback too. I hope it was just a bug. I want my Garrus flashback damn it!

So did I. So did I. :(

Not a bug, though. They didn't include any video files of the other LIs. They were just lazy on this. So they figured, I guess, we'd all be happy to see our favorite asari instead of the LI. Which is unfortunate, because I was just starting to like her, and now I hate her again.

:lol: so true, she is much less annoying in ME3 aside from that.

I did NOT make ANY mistake. I regret NOTHING. Miri is My ONE AND ONLY LI in ALL of Mass Effect!
I Love Miri, whether people like it or not:wub:! EVERY Moment I see Miri is Worth It:wub:!

I for one have no problem with the way My Romantic Relationship with Miri is going. I can understand why it is like this: Situations in which we both have to go through which keeps us apart. I'm fighting Reapers and Assembling a LARGE Counter-Offense, and Miri is dealing with Oriana's Safety, with her Father, with Cerberus, and with TIM.

Though we have situations that keep us apart in a Long-Distance Relationship, we Love Each Other, NO MATTER WHAT!

At Least that is how I see it.

Have to throw in my lot with I regret nothing... Besides not being able to physically tear Kai Lang limb from limb with my bare hands. Thane's romance was worth every second.

It didn't get as much attention as the relationship with the ME1 LIs, but I personally found my relationship with Thane very satisfying in this game. Sad? Of course. But beautiful and very satisfying because of everyone, he obviously missed you - obviously loved you and felt concerned for you. I think he does it even if you're just friends, but he specifically says that he tried to get messages through to you while you were under house arrest. No one else even tried. He apologizes for the timing of his departure. Prays for you. Leaves you the letter where he very explicitly tells you that he loves you, even though the depth of your feelings for each other were left slightly ambiguous in ME2.

And I didn't find his personality all that different between ME2 and ME3 if you take into consideration the fact that they've lost 6 months worth of the time they should have had to spend together. What can he do at this point but try to be at peace with his death and bring you some peace with it as well? Wasn't that almost exactly what he said to Kolyat in ME2? "I wanted to bring you peace." I kind of felt like... he was trying to do the same for Shepard. There was no time left, so he was just... trying to make it as painless as possible for her; trying not to get her hopes up when he knew they would inevitably be dashed. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't find it forced or cold at all... I found the whole thing very touching. The other LIs may say that they love Shepard... but of everyone, I think Thane did the most by far to show it. In a lot of ways, I think makes his romance the best of all - even the "full-fledged" LIs.

Who cares if he does many of the same things whether you were lover or just friends? He doesn't do all of them, and even if he did, I think that just speaks to the fact that Shepard is important/special to him no matter what. But that's just my take on it.

Thane does a beautiful job of showing the relationship, whether friendly or romantic, mattered. Shepard, on the other hand, is a disappointment. After seeing the scenes with the VS getting hurt and Shep's little monologue in the hospital, you would expect more than a blank stare while Thane is dying. The lack of any grief or follow-up, and the immediate flirtation by Samantha, Kaidan and Diana directly afterwards is incredibly jarring and personally made me feel like I was being railroaded--"Thane didn't get the Paramour option, and he wasn't a real romance, but look at who else you can have! You should romance them!" That may not have been what they were going for, but with the way they forgot that Thane existed, I was a little annoyed with the timing. I do agree with you, and I don't think that Thane's romance was 'bad'. It's the reaction of Shepard and the way they followed it up that bugs me.

If Thane got a couple more conversations, if Garrus actually talked about him at the memorial wall instead of whoever died on Virmire, and if Shepard had the chance to grieve, I'd be fine with his role. All of the ME2 romances could have done with a little more content, especially since it's the end of the series.

I can understand that. I wish there had been more, as well. ButI think the relationship can be beautiful and meaningful as it stands, and I guess it just bugs me a little that so many people seem to overlook that because it's not what it could have been. There isn't a single relationship in the entire game that couldn't have been better in some way or another. I guess I'm just happy we got as much as we did. At least we know he really cared.

Thane. :/

Why, Bioware? Why? I just... I can't even formulate words about my many disappointments in this game anymore.

I know. They made him want to start a new life in 2, then they make him want to die peacefully in 3.

Idek.

Well... to be fair, I think we all knew Thane wasn't going to have a big part in ME3 after playing ME2.

NO regrets, i refuse to look back. Jack is the best thing that happened to my Shepard, except for Garrus and James.

Not at all.

Thane went out in the best way suited to his character. I will enjoy killing that Kai Leng bastard tomorrow. POS. Thessia made me so mad, with his taunting during the fight. That was rough.

I don't ever regret picking Thane.
Bioware should have done a better job with his romance in ME3.

The Garrus romance was pretty entertaining and worth it.

I played FemShep through all three games. Romanced Garrus in ME2. Saw it complete in ME3. Worth the time spent.

Hell, his quote during the romance scene on top of the Presidium was worth the price tag of the game, alone.

I think the Jacob romancers should demand a refund, tbh!

Jacob is a terrible character to start with, but yeah must be a kick in the teeth for someone who did romance him.

The games are supposed to be a fantasy dammit - and its not like they were one of the idiots who romanced Thane (who obviously was not going to end well).

If Bioware wants to make huge amounts of DLC dough, then they need to create more Li DLC, people will pay faster than then you can say Boiware Points.

Thane and Jacob should have had alternate futures if romanced. Jacob should have been staying faithful, Thane should have been seeking treatment for kepler symdrome (with Kirrahe dying instead again Kai Lang).
