3,000 war assets and I'm right before the point of no return.

So how exactly can I get enough war assets to get up to 5,000 EMS at this point? Just try to scan everything and do all the hub missions? What exactly do you have to do?

You can't get 5000 EMS without playing multiplayer.

Quite frankly, just put down the game and don't play it. The disappointment you will feel if you get to the end will crush your hopes and dreams and you will never want to play any of the games in the series ever again.

What's your Galactic Readiness rating?
If it's still at 50%, do some MP until it fills. That'll give you 6000 EMS, if i'm not mistaken.

Exactly. Scan all the planets you can. If you can at least get to 4,000 you can have one of the "better" endings. Remember, your EMS needs to be 4,000. Not just total war assets

You'll get 4% or so to total GR per completed MP mission, so it wouldn't be that much of a time commitment.

Alright. So when you do send your level 20 character to the GaW, how many EMS points would you get? I just started playing the multiplayer today.

Really, it doesn't matter. Your choices don't matter in the end.

There's no point in trying to get 5k, the endings are the same. The only difference is if you get 5k+ with >50% readiness, you get a 5 second clip of Shepard's armor moving under some rubble if you choose to destroy the reapers.

No joke, that's the only difference. The mass relays are still destroyed, the citadel is still destroyed, the Normandy is still inexplicably travelling through a mass relay at the time of detonation carrying the squad members who were supposed to "be with you until the end" and consequently gets stranded light years away from anyone they'd ever care to see again. On a planet they will most likely starve to death on.  Assuming the destroy ending (the only way to get the Shepard clip), the Geth are destroyed-- regardless of your efforts to spare them from genocide.  So is EDI.  And all other synthetics and AI.

Its always people with only ME3 registered that are disappointed, the destroy ending with 4000/5000 points is the correct one, all others are bull.

Just promoted my first MP character and got 75 points.  Not sure if you continue to get 75 for each additional one or if it diminishes.

Is it even possible to get 5k without playing multiplayer? I was under the impression that there was a way to get the best ending without multiplayer. My score was around 3500 but there was definitely some extra n7 missions and other side missions that I didn't do.

Ew. That sucks.

And yeah guys I already know about the endings. I'm going to equip my headcanon and blast them to hell, and rethink them to my own justifyable ending to an amazing trilogy. That is until bioware actually makes decent endings for the game.

Agreed.

OP, in the absolute best case scenario, you're part of the lucky 1-3% who aren't utterly crushed by the ending and actually like it.  More likely it will destroy your ability to enjoy any Mass Effect.  Save yourself the trouble.  Raid the cerberus base, watch the fleet intro, then youtube the battle of the citadel and make believe that's the real end.

I wish I could forget the ending to ME3, I really do.

Since when did I say I liked the endings dude? I just said that I'm just going to retcon it once I get up to that point.

Definitely not 5K.  Some people are claiming to have reached 4K without multiplayer, but they've yet to provide any details.  Personally I don't think it's possible unless there's some kind of glitch no one's pinpointed yet that's shorting people a ton of assets.

In my super paragon import I only had around 3400 assets, and I scanned every planet, did every sidequest.  There was one broken fetch quest from an elcor, and I didn't speak to Kelly or Aethyta.  I also may have lost a few assets here and there from very minor decisions (like siding with the wrong person in some of those ambient conversations you can butt into), but so far no one has convinced me there are still over 600 assets that I could have missed or lost.

What I want to know is how the multiplayer requirement will affect players 3 or 5 years down the road. Multiplayer communities shift all of the time and they usually die out after a few years. So someone who wants to play ME3 five years from now won't even have access to the game's best ending? And does the multiplayer score apply to all of the characters you use or just one?
