Yeah, well...At least it's up to BioWare now. To be honest, it's more than likely that they do absolutely nothing.
There are still two groups left who could possibly fix this:
a) The graphic card manufacturers. Though I'd like a fix that is not temporary in nature. Anyone remember Star Wars - Republic Commando, and how special driver kept it operational with brilliant graphics back in the days? Unlike today, where those special driver abilities are gone, thus the game looks pretty bad in comparison.
The fanbase, or the modders to be more specific (really...there is a difference, as one can clearly see, looking through the forums these days *sigh*). They can truly move mountains and I wouldn't be surprised if they'd fix it one day. Even though ME was never known for it's easy modability.
