 Hi,

I don't know if this is something that belongs here or not but I am confused. I keep a spreadsheet of all my playthroughs of ME2 and what content was done and what romance options and so on. I created separate folders in the saves folder for my finished and unfinished games to keep clutter to a minimum.

Now I loaded my first playthrough into ME3 and just finished the game. Went to move a different save in so I could try a different romance option and all my saves but the one I imported appear to be gone. The folders I created are gone.

Anyone else have this trouble? I also noticed in my ME1 folder that I now only have one save in there as well, also the character that I imported to ME3 and my other 2 playthroughs appear to be missing.

Can I get some help please.

Thanks

yeah I confirmed today that whenever you start a new me3 play through, it deletes any folders in the me2 save folder. I'd like bioware to comment on this. Is it intended? Can if be undone?

The saves are not in the Mass effect folders. The saves are kept in the users folders. _> My Documents->Bioware-Masseffect-.Save

Search for *pcsav files for ME2 and something as Char_01-50-2-1-2-19-6-2011-100-43 for ME1

What i did while playing ME1 and ME2 is from time to time Copie the save folders to another harddisk .
Sorry my english is not very well in tecnical windows. But i am sure someone with OK english will explain.
also you can google on save folders mass effect and youll find sevaral hits like

Yes the saves are in my documents>bioware>masseffect2>saves. In that saves folder I created two other folders to house my finished and unfinished games so that I only had my current play through in the saves folder. Once I installed me3 I went and moved the finished play through I wanted to start with out so it was the only save that me3 would see.

I imported and played and everything was fine until I realized that the two other folders I created were gone with all my played saves as well.

To replicate what I mean simply go to the mydocuments>bioware>masseffect2>saves folder and create an empty new folder inside it. Then start a new game and choose to import a character from me2. Once you get through the beginning and save exit the game and go look back in the me2>saves folder and the new folder you created will be gone.

You know I was kinda upset by loosing all my other play through's, but after finishing the game I am beginning to think they did me a favor. I don't think i will ever play me3 again. The ending(s) are just soooo distasteful that i've lost all desire to play the game again. It's a real shame that 10 minutes can ruin 3 games worth of content but for me it sure did.
