So I was looking on the fan review page and Cirreus pointed out that bioware apparently stole the picture for Tali as well as the end and stuff so... can I get a confirmation on this or whats the deal with that?

Pretty much. But don't worry, this will get locked. They don't want their dirty secrets exposed.

I'd like to know what the model's name is that they used for Tali.

I can tell you the Walking Dead one was actually a collab between the two, since they aired the Official Trailer during The Walking Dead, so that one is not a rip off or anything. Bioware has the license for that image.

The others I have no clue and the architypes of the story, you can find in about 50 others if you just look at the base concepts.

The stock photo used for Tali's portrait was open source, if I'm not mistaken.

I ment the ideas stolen & played off as "planned" ... the stock art image is public. But it would be theft if Bioware tried to copyright that image of "Shop'd Tali" into there existing IP for Mass Effect. I'm sure in a patch, Bioware will put in a generic pic of Tali in her full suite for that frame & scene. The winning in game scene for the Quarians (and or with Geth) doesn't even show Tali's face so I doubt there was any finalization on what Quarians look like. This is just (in my mind) akin to those phallic symbols in old Disney movies. It's a huge over sight among many things wrong with ME3.

Tali's pic sorta looks like Salma Hayek. Is that her?

Nope nevermind. They looks eerily similar though.

I really wish they were more creative with Tali's real face, I didn't mind not seeing her but I guess it just comes as another disappointment in a potentially epic conclusion. :(

I actually like the look for Tali. I just wished we could have had a 3-D model of that image in the game for a "general" unmasking.

So do I.  I had my own ideas on certain things, but I'm fine with what they chose.

Still, the argument can be made that it was done somewhat cheaply, using a stocked photo and all.  I'm curious about how they came to decide that was "the" picture to use.  Again, I like it, but am curious about the process.

They're stock photos, they didn't steal anything.

I made that connection between the Anti-spirals and the Reapers too.

The stock photo is just a stock photo.

The walking dead thing was an intentional collaboration.

Same.

Though I give Bioware a little credit that they made an effort (however small it is) to show Tali's face in some way.

Lol, I thought this thread was gonna be about all the well known scifi properties Mass Effect borrowed from.

To be honest, the TTGL thing was more accurate when the official reason for Reaper invasion was "Dark energy spreading from mass effect usage". Swap "Dark Energy" with "Spiral power" and "mass effect" with "evolution".

Hell, if you continue this - in both TTGL and ME3 humans are the first race to get to see the "man behind the curtain". Except that Shepard is a wuss compared to Simon.
