I walked into work today, into the back room and saw the games sitting there. They have been since Friday or so, at least at our store. The strategy guide was just shipped to us today.

Sorry to hear about your experience with Gamestop. The one near my home is stellar. I went there to pick Aion a week after the release. They had a collector's edition that someone had pre-ordered and then canclled. So not only did I get the collector's edition, they threw in all of pre-order extras as well.

since Im banned from the mall I had to wear a disguise, but when i got to gamestop I preordered it and then got into a discussion about the game, I understand everyones hate twords gamestop, but Growing up with alot of the people that work around my town, I have had nothing but good times with the midnight releases and other things.

Well I Just got a text from gamestop and it said it will be available Tuesday PM..I have never had a text or call saying PM..it always says AM..so that had me worried...maybe just a precaution on their part... I have never not gotten my game on release date before ..but tommorrow is my day off I would be pissed if I didn't get to play it tommorrow..

When I was working at Waldenbooks and we were having a big release, we were supposed to not tell anyone we had the books in the back prior to street date.
Also might want to consider that sometimes shipments do get delayed legitimately (had that happen with the collector's edition of NWN2)

I really wish I could help. THe GS here in PA got it on friday and it's gonna be ready for me tomorrow after 12 noon.
I have never had a problem with pre-orders, and if I did I get a prompt refund when I go to the store.

I'm one of the few lucky ones, my game stop is worth a ****. Almost everyone one in there at least plays games, and I've played several games with the manager so hes cool as hell to me. but i'm pretty sure all the stores should have them in stock, unless they've had a problem with shipping.

I have dealt with 5 different Gamestops in both Utah and Colorado in the last decade. With all 5 stores, they have only once got a PC game on the release date and that was Doom 3. Other then that, they have always got the PC games day after the release date, and that is only if someone actually pre-ordered the game, otherwise it would be 3-7 days after release.
I remember going to one looking for a new released game, they told me the only copies they had were pre-ordered ones. The clerk told me good luck in trying to find the game anywhere else, because pre-order is the only way to go to get games on or near the release date, as he tries to sell me on several other pre-orders. I told him, "Oh well, I'll just head to Best Buy and grab one of their many many copies they will undoubtly have there" The clerk laughed at me. So I went to Best Buy, which was just across the street, got the game from a shelf that had probably 40 copies of them. Bought the game, went back to Gamestop to show the clerk the game. Yeah, he wasn't laughing as about 6 other people wanting the same game all left the store and went to Best Buy to get the game.
I hate Gamestop, I don't deal with them anymore. Perhaps I may if I ever decide to get a console and buy used games, but I will never deal with them anymore with new released games. Steam really is the best option to go.

First off, PM me your loca, because depending on where you are, it does effect the priority of there warehouse to ship.
Secondly, from first hand knowlegde, because I am close friends with 2 of the ladies at my local gamestop, I know for a fact that its one of the things they are to say, is that they dont have it yet, now some stores, again depending on location, might not get it in till tomorrow.
Now I got a call from the automated thing saying my game should be in Tuesday afternoon, so I called my GS, and one of my friends answered the phone and they told me with a game such as this, they usually have it in the day before, so it will be ready when the doors open in the morning.
Now I cant say thats true for your gamestop, but thats what the normal thing is to do.
Now if I were you, I would go in at the time of open and if they dont have your game demand your money back and go get it from walmart, best buy or another store that sells games, I am sure another store will have it.

ive never had a problem with my gamestop. but like most retail chains, it vary's by location. certainly by district and region. got my call that it will be their in the afternoon, which is just as well for me. gotta work till 2 anyway.
