I think the OP has touched on why this is such a shame. 99.9% of the time, we loved this series. We loved the story, we loved the characters, we loved the gameplay, then it does something so monumentally bad, that it can take that love and make somebody want to trade those games in for some store credit. At a minimum, it has made most everyone take a step back and reconsider if they would replay these games ever again. We should have all been jumping back in seeing what other outcomes our various Shepards could achieve, instead we know that it doesn't matter.
Yeah, the journey was great, but that destination will make it a struggle to get through it again.

If I didn't play the series on PC ( which means no trade in for me ) I would have to think long and hard against trading it in. I hope this feeling passes because this series was one of the big Sci Fi universes for me, and well it just feels empty now. I can honestly say no game I have ever played given me this kind of sad empty feeling. It is hard to even explain.

As much as I hate the used game market I have to agree. If I had the option to trade this game in (Origin download) I would in an instant, and buy something that might not be so soul crushingly disappointing. This debacle does nothing but hurt relations and drive home the point that gamers just cannot trust anything developers say. If Bioware were to announce mass effect 4 at this point I'd be just as inclined to believe they're making My Little Pony: Unknown Planet Adventures featuring Garrus as Rainbow Dash, and Joker as Derpy Hooves.

I think the reaction of "ima sell this game" and "no replay value" are hollow and baseless. I still have fun and am immersed, I just have to move beyond the ending; because I can do that. It's not hard.

I followed the marketing and listened to what the devs say. Needless to say, it gets me excited and pumps me up for the game, and when I got to the endings, I realised we've been had.

It doesn't fuel used retailers. The multiplayer needs an access code to play it which you get with a new copy. The single player isn't even worth playing as the ending ruins the whole franchise.

Then your not a true fan your just someone that likes the game,Being a true fan to any game series is like being in love. When your in love you cherish every moment you spend with your beloved & never want the time you spend together to end. When said beloved betrays you however you feel crushed & empty & start to doubt if they ever really loved you to begin with. If your beloved betrays you then you certainley done want to spend every waking moment with them do you, NO you want to get as far away from them as possible to try & deal with the pain they've caused you. So saying that the people saying it has no replay value & that there going to trade the game in is a baseless argument is in itself a baseless argument. I for one am 100% with the OP, he's hit the nail on the head with that post, I can never look at the name Bioware in the same way ever again. The betrayal I feel has cut so deep that everytime I look at the name Bioware I'll always remember what they did, some betrayals just can't be forgiven no matter how hard you try. How anyone could play ME3 a second time is beyond me, I feel used because I've been so loyal to them over the years buying there new releases on the day of release. I feel Betrayed because all the choices you made in 1 2 & 3 all amount to nothing because the ending is the same regardless. I feel ashamed that I ever thought of buying this cr** let alone getting excited about it but I also feel humiliated because I introduced so many people to the serise & told them it's a game that everyone should play at least once. I can never forgive Bioware for making me feel so lifeless & empty I put so mush into mass effect, so many playthroughs finding everything there is to find doing all the quests scaning every planet for nothing.
