Why would my Shepard think about Liara as the last thing before he dies? He chose to spend the rest of his life with Tali, so why would he think about another woman? THAT is my biggest beef with the ending, and it may very well have been a bug, but still that kind of broke the ending for me. even the goofy magic circuit cyborg joker was alright, but Tali barely got even a mention during the ending of my game. bleh.
alright, rant done. will let the ending soak in. Good choice on ending credit theme tho.
I'll be fine with the rest of it, as long as i find out why...

Shepard thought about Liara for basically the same reason that the endings just use different colored lights. It let them recycle the same footage. There is no actual in-game reason for it.

It's not a bug, really. Only certain love interests show up in that flashback cutscenes. If you didn't have one of those interests picked, then you get Liara in its place.
I got Kaiden.

Yea MY Shepard doesn't really care for Liara so it's annoying that she shows up and not Miranda or hell even Ashley since they are close friends in the end.

Nope. I dug around in the vidoes since I have the PC version and the only ones there are Anderson, Joker, Liara, Kaiden, and Ashley. I figured something must have been wrong since I had originally been with Liara, but switched to Tali, so maybe it bugged, but now I see that Tali was never going to show up. Like I said, this is right in line with different colored beams being considered different endings.

I don't think it's a bug, I think it's just lazyness. To my knowledge, the flashs are always Joker, Anderson, Kaiden/Ashley, Liara, in that order regardless or romance.PoliteAssasin wrote...

And yeah, the fact that your romantic partner isn't there (wasn't for me at any rate, my romance was with Tali) bugs the hell out of me..
