I'm getting sick of this issue, around the area in between edi and joker if I try to walk my shepard over it he will get stuck in place and I can't move him. This happens ALL the time! It looks like a rectangle on the floor.

i had this issue too. For me it occurred when i talked to EDI. Not every time, but enough where it is annoying.

I just had it happen again right after freeing the krogan female. I stepped up into the raised area between Joker and EDI, my character flickered for a second and moved on its own to right near Jokers chair and couldnt move. Luckily, Joker had a cutscene available, which freed me from it.

It happened more than once with me on many occasions during the campaign so far. I kept trying to run and move and eventually got "unstuck", or I tried to talk to EDI or Joker and if I was lucky, a cutscene happened and the bug disappeared after the cutscene ended.

Standing BEHIND to the LEFT and JOKER on the bridge : you get stuck there, but no cutscene to escape to.
CTRL-ALT-DEL just like the good old days, *sigh*.

If you don't have a recent save to go back to, you could save your game and use gibbed save editor to slightly modify your saved position (X or Y) start with trying say plus or minus 100 units on each axis then load the game and see where you are, eventually you will find out which axis and direction to use.

Happened to me several times as well, not on the same spot but always in the area between Joker and EDI (maybe a bit backwards of it too). I haven't found a workaround, just always quicksaved before coming onto the bridge and reloaded if I got stuck.
Most annoying.

Hey, no need to do anything that drastic, just save and reload should get you moving again.

Yeah I join the club. happened two times to me. (one time I could initiate a talk with edi that freed me and one time I was just stuck and had to go back to a recent save (lost 10 minutes or so)

I've taken to pressing F5 right before I enter the room every single time now, I had it happen to me 4x in under an hour yesterday.

just press save game. then re-load the save. u can walk freely after that.

bump, happens to me as well. It only occurs for me when speaking to EDI/Joker occasionally...nowhere else.

It happens for me when Shepard talks to EDI and moves at the same time. As others have said it is best to quicksafe before talking to her.

When it happens to me, save/reload doesn't work, but you can escape by pressing all the movement keys quickly, so that you move slightly every now and then til you escape.

I've had the same issue, with a specific spot that if I stand there or even step through it, Shepard just stops moving. Save/Reload doesn't fix it, so I always have to load an earlier save. But I've been successfully avoiding the spot after figuring out it always happens in the same place, behind Joker and a bit to the right (towards EDI) on the slight incline.

Im confused... how can saving and reloading NOT work if you are fixing it by loading a previously saved game? You aren't able to save? You aren't able to reload?

Because pressing F5 (unless you have mapped something else into F5) ALWAYS Quick Saves unless you are in a combat area actually in combat, or between fights in a chain. And even if you cant load a game with F9 for some reason... you can still LOAD a Quick Save from the standard "Load" screen...

Edit: FYI you dont save AFTER you are stuck, you save before you get into the room... its a precautionary thing you do every single time you go to enter the cockpit, not a "aww **** I just got stuck lemme try saving now" thing.

Wow, just wow. I had this bug, quick saved, went to the main menu and then clicked resume. As a side note, while it loaded tons of quick tips started flashing on the terminal. After it loaded, I was teleported in front of the galaxy map.
Then, surprise, talking to Garrus, camera turns to me and guess what: my femsheps face morphed into the default one! Big lol. Fortunately, loading the same savegame again fixed it.

Happened to me for the first time yesterday also. Maddening, He started movign after a minute or two but I nearly had to reload a save.

I had the same issue... I then quickly loaded an autosave I had..
Thought everything was going well (forgot to save again) and got the level 1 bug. Double trouble Now I don't have a choice, might try the savegame editor posted up there. Got nothing to lose anyway...


///EDIT: Yes! Worked like a charm. Used another save to determine a safe position, then used those x y z values for my stuckshepard

Happened to me once. It is avoidable though. Talk to joker from directly behind him, and with EDI go behind her and then stand on her right side...miss out the slightly raised area between them before talking..or you get stuck.

100% reproducable. It happened to me, too. I helped myself by quicksaving before entering the cockpit, just in case.

this error is also responsible to ruin all achievments, as in my case...
