At the start of Mass Effect 3, Liara acknowledges that I romanced her, but after a while, she asks to see me on the Citadel, and my Shepard says he wants to be mroe than friends. Furthermore, during the conversation regarding the time capsule, my Shepard calls her "a good friend". Also, Liara doesn't have full conversations with Shepard after the Citadel conversation and only says "thanks for coming by" or something similar when I try to talk to her.

I didn't cheat on her in Mass Effect 2 and I romanced her in Lair of the Shadow Broker. So is this na glitch or will she start talking further down the story?
I'm only up to Rannoch so simple yes/no answers will suffice. Please avoid spoilers.

I'm having the exact same issue. Romanced Liara throughout ME1, ME2 LoTSB, and ME3, and I'm currently stuck at the time capsule, since I don't want to continue until patched, if continuing will negate my Liara romance story.

I might be able to help with your Citadel convo issue, though. After a few side missions, I noticed an Asari bartender at the counter just up the stairs from Liara's table, and it turned out to be the matriarch bartender from ME2. Speak to her first, then go back and speak to Liara, and it will trigger another event.



Can anyone please tell me if the "friend" convo and response options around the time capsule are a bug or normal and the romance would then continue? I'm very worried about it, quit playing at that point to come investigate it on the BSN.

Also Ashley recieved her spectreship a few mission ago (just on the Citadel), but still hasn't shown up on the Normandy... Maybe it's a related bug? Hope not..

One of the writers called it a bug, it's possible they simply failed with the dialogue, the writers are known to fail.

ugh....i have the same problem..i'm stuck at the time caps scene...she keeps saying i'm a good friend..like wtf -.- i really hope they fix this or maybe it will fix its self if u continue on romancing her

In my game, the way the conversation in which I said I wanted to be more than friends played out, it seemed like an affirmation, rather than starting over again, and then the romance did kick in later on when it was time. I get the impression that the aim was to leave it open for you to remain faithful or move on to another romance in part 3 if you wanted to.

I don't know about all of you, but my wife is both my wife and my best friend, so the friend conversations are not completely out of order, though I admit there were a few moments where I wondered if I had dome something to mess up the romance.

Hope your still not waiting for a patch, could be waiting a long time , if even get one at all.
